As much as I wanted Pedro (and I did), I love the fact we stuck to our guns, walked away after reports the player wanted to come then spent twice that money on a different striker. This really sends a message out that we won’t be taken advantage of if you try to push us yet do have money to spend to take us seriously at the same time.

To be honest - I have uncles who are Sunderland fans and they’ve said for years now that they feel they’ll do much better in the championship because they’ll be allowed to play more because in these leagues you get kicked too shit and the refereeing is terrible and just allow it. I’ve literally heard these same comments on here from them for seasons now.
