Doubt that very much - he’s never scored more than 2 goals a season in the prem.
-
Use the money to buy Wilson
-
Not for me - I thought our games against Southampton were more fun than the Leeds ones.
-
I genuinely had a feeling soton were going to do this today. Don’t know what’s happened to Leeds recently.
-
Sign him up
-
It may not happen - the house always wins - it’s now all about London and the north west, this doesn’t mean that now more than ever I fucking love my club once again and apart from one or two moments last year I embarrassed myself even by over reacting I feel they have done amazingly well.

So you’d sack him for failing to deliver what every manager for the last 60 or more years has also failed to deliver? IMO that’s ridiculous
-
But say we’re finished 6th which is the target that would make me happy but at the same time had a bit of a clear out and brought better in - would you be calling for him to go?
-
Go onto the Howe forum and read most of it - to be fair a lot of our fans are becoming entitled very quickly. Every club has them I reckon.
-
Never traveled to those so don’t know but interesting. Local teams don’t get supported, I now live in Loughborough and work in Nottingham and again surrounded by Notts forest, county or Leicester fans. it’s weird how it’s different in the Home Counties areas then.

Is his contract length 5 year? For me his minimum target is to take us into a regular top 6 club whilst cutting free dead wood and rebuilding - ideally with huge goings on in the academy so we can call on them in the future either for a call up to first team or additional revenue stream. Anything above that fire me is just gravy. i can see why people are adding CL as a target as we got it once but our squad is still so far behind the top teams to expect that season in season out just yet in my opinion.

Let them have their moment of laughing - every manager is turning them down and their second half to last season was relegation form. Since their manager left they went from around seventh to just avoiding relegation by three points. They currently have no manager and can’t get one as nobody wants the job, can’t score for toffee at the moment and their owners were in local phone in saying exciting times ahead as there’s a new gift shop and bar opening in their ground. They are seriously screwed next season.
-
Agreed - shame our fans haven’t the same common sense, so many have become so entitled, I honestly thought it would take longer than this.
-
The only excuse for not bringing in a keeper in January would be we were skint - oh that’s right we were. Sorry but I’ve read too many times in the last two days things like “no excuse”, “under pressure now” just because we didn’t get into Europe when it went down to the last game of the season ffs. You could see he learned a lot more as the season went on with his tactical changes and he very very nearly delivered us into top 6 with what can only be labelled as a crazy lack of player availability throughout the season. I do believe there’s a good chance that Howe will hit a glass ceiling with us and will have achieved everything he can but so soon after what he’s done is crazy talk in my opinion - those people that say they want him gone just be careful what you wish for.

Agree on this after living there for 17 years. Never thought about it but no I can’t think of any Man U I knew down there. A few West Ham fans, shit loads of spurs, hell even three QPR fans and a lot of Arsenal but can’t think of any Man U off the top of my head.
-
Yet he’s got them into CL and Europe in two back to back seasons whilst winning two trophies. All of this whilst his team could improve a lot more in the league. Getting into finals and winning them are two totally different skill sets and getting the job done is something Howe hasn’t mastered yet (nor has Poche thinking about it) but ETH clearly has. Not saying he should stay I’m just saying his time there has been weird and there’s two ways to spin it. I work with two Man U fans who actually go to the games so it’ll be interesting to see what they say on Tuesday.
-
You can’t blame others for us not getting the job done - they’re excuses not reasons. Fact is we dropped a lot of points this season that would have got us over the line.
-
Always said that getting over the line is a completely different skill set.
-
Think he’s getting at he’s championship level player and he’ll be getting paid too much for their level of wages.
-
Why isn’t that money split between championship clubs? That would make that league stronger and the money has already been allocated away.
-
They’ve probably combed the exchange server from arsehole to breakfast time looking for dirt on him. Complaincy is a dangerous thing.
-
Talking about defending - my gripe with him is he’s not a defender but a midfielder that was moved to left back. He looks so much better going forward yet so much this season we’ve played longstaff week in week out whilst hall is sat on the bench. Surely he could have been given a chance.
-
I do believe put pope in goal and that conceded goal total half’s.
-
Learning to win in those big games is a completely different skill set that players and managers need to learn in time. Poch has had it follow him his entire career taking spurs to the edge of a prem title and a CL final or semi (can’t remember which) but he just couldn’t get the job done.
