Imo if you’ve scored two goals away from home then the forwards have done their job. Always going to be hard if your defence makes sure you have to score three just to get a point.

The question is though should we be playing them week in week out when hall has spent most season on the bench, pope is now available and is not being used, barnes is not getting games.

We beat them regularly when there’s only three points on the table but when it counts we don’t. Said it a few pages back but our players and manager at the moment just aren’t experienced in getting over the line as that’s a different skill set. It will come in time but at the moment cup finals, big games like this to get pretty much into Europe, against Chelsea in cup etc we just don’t get the job done.

Rarely let three goals in when pope plays but it’s almost expected when dubs plays. i have a theory that tripps has always had mistakes when defending in him but we don’t notice it normally as pope bails him out most of the time.

As it stands we’re still the 7th best team in the country so how the fuck are they “frauds”. I seriously find you so trying.

The two games against Man U (cup final last season and this to put one foot in the door to Europe) has proven to me that at the moment we just don’t get the job done yet in the big occasion games.

Not seen the game but we haven’t been beaten at home in the league since 13 Jan and that was Man City - that game being the only league home defeat in 2024 so I’m not going to get upset because we’re not winning all of them. Been an amazing season for me all things considering and imo it’s simply just a shame we didn’t get the win and that’s all.

For what it’s worth I plan on digging the weeds up so plan to go to the garden centre. Last twice we done that was the spurs game last season and a decent win this again (can’t remember which now)

If penalties won were also included there would be no competition. There’s been some stellar performances this season but Gordon as our player of the season was a sure thing for me.

And having a Stella home game against psg to remember as well as sooo close in the group of death.

No matter what happens I’ll be pleased with this season and proud of what we achieved all things considering.
