Unfortunately there was a lot of people that predicted this last year saying if we didn’t do it again then some would go into meltdown. We’re a victim of our own success in that way. The start of this season was always going to test us but now we’re through the worst we just need to push on and pick up momentum.

We have fans that would be disappointed if we won the CL final by 1 - 0 as they’d say it wasn’t convincing enough.

Wasn’t that the case almost every draw last season at our place, teams came and got overrun by us and left with a point. We did the same tonight that’s all. Eddies first every game in Europe - away to a CL semi finalist with the two Joes out injured yet he’s managed to get us a point here and a win and a draw in 3 days with two clean sheets to boot. Things could be a damn site worse

For what it’s worth I still don’t think it was a penalty but I’m u sure about managers moaning about it, I noticed he cherry picked this and ignored the disallowed goal.

Looking at the way Brentford packed the box last night and our lack of shots on target I don’t think we have put to bed our incapacity to breakdown these sides to be honest.

Go through the back of them is harsh though - his knee grazed Gordon’s thigh but we had a perfectly good goal disallowed so that’s that.

Yeah - can’t argue that we win when he starts, did it last season - missed him when dropped then turned it round when he came back in. Will always drop some clangers though.
