In October Haaland - 6 goals, 2 assists Miggy - 5 goals, 0 assists Could go either way really, the media attention on Almiron in these last 2 weeks could help his case though.
-
All the shit he had to go through after that final and how his career and mental health nosedived, I'm glad he's with us now to experience some good times.
-
Thankfully more rest and training time before this. Going to be tough, they will be up for it and fairly confident after their 4 nil win. We are at home though, I'm confident we'll get the win, Trippier is due a goal.
-
Unless he wants to leave he'll still here in 2/3yrs time. Obviously by as soon as this coming summer you'd imagine he'll only be a squad player, but if he's happy with that there's no reason to actively sell him/let him leave.
-
The next 2 games have become massive. Beating Spurs means so much less if we don't get minimum 4 points from the next Villa/Southampton and that's being pessimistic, 6 points is obviously the aim.
-
No chance he'll change the formation for this. If he didn't do it against Liverpool or City he won't do it against Spurs, just isn't happening. Especially to go 5 at the back, that would be insanity to to do considering where we are now defensively and as a team.
-
Don't disrespect the moat people. They secretly control the worlds leaders you know, or is that mole people.
-
Doubt Shelvey is really ready for 90 mins, we might find out for sure in the press conference. Probably for the best, he always seems to do something wrong against Spurs.
-
If Joelinton does get another soon that wont be much of an issue, weve got cover there especially now with Shelvey coming back. But it will be interesting if Schar does, would Lascelles come straight in or does Burn move across and Targett come in? I feel like this XI against Spurs is going to be a bit of a surprise to moat people.
-
As fans we may do. But I can't say I've seen the local media do it, at least not to the extent he does it.
-
For such a "big club" he seems to have to mention alot what a "big club" Villa are.
-
This is a real shame! They could've bloody waited till after our game against them next month. Only brightside is they may not have got a permanent manager in within 10 days.
-
The World Cup and January window will still play a big part in this season for us. If we can be 8th or above when the WC break comes around then I'll have every faith we will finish the season with European football.
-
He was fine, made to look a little lightweight and sloppy because of how Everton pressed aggressively with Gueye, Iwobi and Onana in the midfield. He'll be out the team in a few games time and used in the last 20 minutes to steady things after Shelvey is fully fit and ready to start again.
-
He got more time against Everton than he has in the last 2 games. Maybe a sign he'll be getting more time/starting against Spurs, who knows. But I would be surprised if he starts even though Murphy was worse than usual yesterday. Fraser is more likely to take Murphys spot I would imagine.
-
11 games into the season, best defensive record, lost just one game and currently 6th. There's no way he changes the formation now, that would be utterly ridiculous. No need to shoehorn Targett into the backline, he'll come back when it's appropriate. I've no doubt there will be changes in the team, probably Murphy and Joelinton but other than that it'll be the same unless there are injuries we don't know about.
-
Beating Spurs would be something. I'm not expecting anything from there, we've got a small squad and we've had 2 tough games in a short space of time. Anything would be a bonus for us I think.
-
Looked a little limpy in that video of them coming back I'm after the game. Might see Willock - Bruno - Longstaff for the Spurs game. Would be a shame, as we lost alot of bite in the middle when he went off.
-
I'd rather send Murphy out on loan tbh. Gateshead might be willing to take him. Anderson will only go if we get more player signed in January, with the amount of injuries we have, can't afford to let anyone go.
-
Considering how much the media bang on about him at Aresnal that's quite surprising. Miggy needs to keep going as I think it's making January alot easier to decide where we need to strengthen. RW is far less of a priority.
-
The stats speak for themselves really. Felt like a poor game whilst watching it but this does show it was a far more dominate display than I first thought.
-
Just as poor as usual, not really a surprise anymore. I'd hope on today's showing Fraser gets the RW spot against Spurs. Atleast he can win us a few free kicks up the field.
-
Helps having Botman one side and Tripper on the other ofcourse but he was once again fantastic as was the rest of the back 4 + Pope.
-
Great win. Only actually played well for about half an hour but it was enough. Bugger that West Ham missed that penalty at Liverpool. Table still looks sweet though!
-
Fraser taken some whacks but really useful ones to run down the clock. Well done.
