Signed with a slight injury Howe said but it wasn't a thigh injury. Believe he said he wasn't 100% fit against Liverpool due to hamstring issue if I remember correctly?

Game against Lincoln City tomorrow night in the Pizza Trophy. Doubt they'll get a win but I do think it's good having the U21s in this competition, gives them a taste of what they could get themselves into if they go out on loan.

I think Everton will be an odd one for alot of teams this season, they can raise their game and go toe to toe when they feel like it but also I think they always seem to be on the cusp of getting a battering. They've gotten away with more points than they derserve this season because Pickford has been very good. Across the West Ham, Leeds and Southampton games he made a total of 13 saves to the oppositions total of 5. That can't go on that way all season without conceding way more on average per game.

Part of an exceptionally good defensive unit so far. Compliments Schar very well as he's so solid in the air.

Battle of the England keepers.

Liverpool can't hack decsions not going their way, even when winning. They are are moany, woe is me, the world is against me little child.

Won't be bringing in another striker unless Wood goes I imagine. I suppsoe that is possible but it's a big if.
-
Probably my biggest takeaway from these first 10 games is exactly that. We are extremely difficult to play against and to beat us requires near maximum effort from any team we face. Can't ask for much more than that I'm such a short space of time.

World Cup will be a blessing in disguise for us. A well needed rest for most of our squad and for the top 6 a nerve jangling horror show of injuries and fatigue for all their international players. Thankfully we'll probably only need to be concerned with Trippier, Bruno and Schar. None of them are guaranteed starters either which lessens the blow somewhat.

A very annoying sub genre of VAR. If it's potentially offside they should check it once that player then touches it. If he is deemed to be offside the defending team should be given the free kick from that spot, not be forced to take a goal kick just because he misses it, those 10/20 yards could be the difference.
-
Typical. The striker we bring in to negate the effects of our crocked striker goes and gets himself crocked for almost the exact amount of time the previous one would have been.
-
As much as it's in our own hands and the position we are in now is a good sign of things to come. Alot could rest on how poor Liverpool can be for the rest of the season, if they don't finish in the top 6 (very unlikely) then that's an extra spot up for grabs that we didn't anticipate.

Longstaff out and Willock in, Targett for Burn and that'll be it is my guess. Assuming that is Bruno was not brought off injured ofcourse. In which case Longstaff stays. Probably too early for Shelvey to start but can see him coming in if the situation allows for it.

Depending what happens in the City game we could conceivably be 10 games into the season in 6th with the fewest goals conceded and having lost only 1 game. We'd have all taken that at the start of the season I'm sure. 10 games in is usually a good indicator of what is to come and arguably we've underachieved so far with the amount of wins we have. Today wasn't the best overall but its in stark contrast to what has played out in the previous years at Old Trafford.

Judging by the starting XI and the subs made today I wouldn't be surprised to see Anderson get a good amount of time against Everton. Howe is going to have to rotate a little in these next 2 games to keep up the intensity. Everton at home is a much better chance for Anderson than Old Trafford would ever be.
-
That's a good point considering how the 2nd half went. Both teams had good chances and neither took them. The next 4 games are favourable, Spurs obviously the hardest of the lot but other 3 are very winnable and we can certainly get something at Tottenham.
-
1 minute left. Let's fucking go.
-
Trippier down and then back up. Close one.
-
Should be winning! Joelinton should've scored
-
No I wouldn't say he's behind Shelvey or Longstaff, rather that he isn't even in competition with those 2 as he's never going to play as the holding midfielder. Out wide is a different matter, you'd think he'd have had more minutes already if Howe wanted to play him there at all. Seems like it's 2 of the 3 midfield positions for Anderson or he doesn't get on the pitch at all.
-
Willock gets on before him if things need shaking up, no doubt about that. So unless 1 of the 3 midfielders gets injured I reckon he'll get 5 minutes at most.
-
Would've actually been a perfect day a right footer at LB to try nullify Antony cutting inside. Wouldn't want to move Trippier though, such a shame Krafth is out, reckon he'd have done it well.
-
No Willock in XI is a shock! Thats the first time this season I believe. Good to see Shelvey back in the squad also.
-
I like the look of it. Excuse the ignorance as I've not looked into it in any way, but is this shirt actually going to appear in the Prem? Or is it just a fan shirt?

Loads of laser pointers in Jorghino face. The kind of people that take those to games are absolute knobs.
