Joelinton getting frustrated about a totally legit tackle and getting himself a yellow. This half is ending badly.
-
Did you post this one second before they scored?
-
Shitty goal to concede. How easy. Longstaff giving he ball away needlessly.
-
It's been quite a flat start, we've done well but haven't threatened much. Options in midfield when we have he ball are almost non existent.
-
The problem in that three is their lack of ability to keep hold of the ball. Murphy and Longstaff in particular are terrible for giving the ball away which in turn gives Tino extra work to do.
-
So that means we'll do the same? Or atleast a certain win for us right? Is that how it works in football? Okay I'll get the bet on that right now, I'm blaming you if it doesn't come in.

Don't disagree with that and I absolutely expected Longstaff to start. But competitive games is what Tonali needed to get himself back up to speed. He's had two of those in the last week and a bit, that can't now ALSO be used as a reason not to start him. Is he rusty and not match sharp enough? or is he now overtired from playing those matches to gain sharpness?

He's cover for multiple positions. An extremely valuable thing to have in any squad.
-
Away from home that's usually the smart move. Wolves are no mugs but I think the disappointing thing is Tonali is just as capable defensively as Longstaff, there isn't a reason other than loyalty to stick with him anymore.
-
You'll be happy today then.
-
Glad Hall is in. Surprised Barnes has dropped out. Not happy Tonali isn't starting but I did expect that atleast, would've been shocked if he took Longstaff out.

Villa slipping up even before the Champions League starts.

Am I the only one who has absolutely ZERO idea that Szmodics was Irish/played for Ireland?
-
Away at Wolves has always been a poor game. Don't expect this to be much different. 1-1

Tough ask against Liverpool though. They don't seem to have weakend any without Klopp.
