I find it very strange that it is being said he doesn’t want to join us, especially when he was literally buzzing to sign for us before in January liking photos etc talking about us and wanting to join. I’m pretty sure he’d have spoken to the club in January and both parties were happy or we wouldn’t be back in for him. Same goes for Ekitike there was obviously conversations between the 2 parties and on the player side said he’d be ready to join in the summer or we wouldn’t have went back in.

If we do sign Ekitike and decide we don’t need another striker. Would be a great signing maybe too high on the wage structure. Another couple names to consider Reiss Nelson seems to do very well everywhere except Arsenal and pretty versatile position wise. Could join his mate Willock who I think has been massively underrated due to his first half of the season performances. Amine Gouiri- Nice, big talent, new link Gianluca Scamacca - Saussalo, 6ft5, all rounder Giovanni Simeone - Hellas Verona, don’t know much but one of top scorers in serie A Patrick Schick - Leverkusen, Big player, another cracking season and would be massive statement. Probably a lot of others too like Eketike but I suspect he’ll sign and play on the wing and up top. Be a top talent, be buzzing if we signed any of the above.

I’d say between £120-£175mil very large range in between but only reason so high is because we always get injuries so could see us dipping into the market late too or any potential big stars that come available that maybe weren’t before. Get rid of the dead wood, maybe move on the likes of Almirón, Lascelles, Manquillo and maybe Lewis or Krafth depending on if we bring in a Hickey for example. Pacqueta - 50-60 Targett or Lodi - 15-20 Striker - 50 CB - 30 DM - 25 Free - Tarkowski FWIW although we are saying we want gradual progression that initial period you must have a good go and spend a lot to get the squad Upto standard and the others like facilities etc. And I see it as a tactic of “we won’t have the pissed ripped out of us with money” by saying we have a small budget.

Tell you what Morgan Gibbs White is one player I’d definitely hope we had a look at as well as Brennan Johnson if we are looking at English players. Between 20-30M each. MGW seemed out of favour at wolves…

Been saying it for the last few weeks right now at our stage we don’t want to be paying the premium prices for English players. Get in the South Americans or Europeans for cheaper and probably better with the current mix we have right of English players. Then maybe after next season if we finish well we can look at these options.

Really rate him whenever I’ve seen him. Rico Henry mentioned above too is a tremendous full back. Probably not as good as Lodi or close especially in terms of value.

I’m sure it is maxence caqueret (with the ball) who id love here too. Would certainly be a great start to our era by stealing Lyons 3 best players. Also wouldn’t mind Aouar if he’s fell out with the club.

For the way we play Scamacca suits us perfectly pacey and a big focal point as a striker to hold it up too. Probably similar to Ekitike but it’s obviously what we are looking for. Good to see we are exploring other top leagues too to find talent.

If we are talking positions (DM) Nunes at Sporting, Sangare at PSV both of them available for 20-30 each. Tolisso would be a very good option and very cheap. Caqaruet from Lyon he would be around 30-40 mil. Boubacar Kamara on a free. Talking about players in general you could sign Lodi for 21 mil mentioned. Added with 1 of the above and a free transfer like Nkeitah who’s English so kind of helps with the HG quota. Would also love Brennan Johnson at Forest if we can’t manage to get Danjuma, Diaby or Nkunku but after this season it’s proven he’s best Centrally.

Can we stop wanting to sign Kalvin Phillips. He’s going to cost probably 50+ million could sign 2/3 much better and cheaper options.
