Agree that RW should get prioritized next. But still think Almiron has a future here, and not only as a sub. We need to rotate the first eleven going forward.

I think Eddie has had too much focus on the game in front of him and not the long term squad management this season. The intensive playstyle in every game was never going to work longtime with the amount of games we had so far with our current squad. Couple of freak injuries sure didnt help, but then you need to prioritize and give some youngsters opportunities in the lesser important games like the league cup and even the premier league to be frank. Having Gordon, Almiron, Trippier etc play 2x90mins a week have only resulted in them ending up being poor in most recent games. Im not being captain hindsight here, said we would end up like now for quite some time now. But its Howe's first season with this amount of games and im sure he will learn and gain some wisdom when he gets time to reflect over the season. And im also confident we will come back strong in the second half of the season now that we can focus on fewer games.

Maybe he is struggling abit with mental fatigue himself

Really got to question the way Howe has prepared/utilized the squad this season. Im far from having given up on him, but he really has to have learned something from this.

Hope people can understand the difference between thinking he is a liability at the moment and needs a rest, and not appreciating what he has done for us in the past. I have no doubt that he will come back stronger and be an asset for us in the future too.

Have to honest, I think we will struggle big time this game. They will go out with full energy fighting for their captain. We dont really have the quality to take advantage of their over eagerness, neither do we have the energy to put up a fight in intensity. Almiron and Gordon both look pretty useless atm, other than those two we really dont have much attacking threat. Wilson cant do much on his own.

He has played 8 games in under a month and and have played nearly every single minute of them. In every game he has been non-stop running. Lets give him a little benefit of doubt that it may have impacting his decision making and finishing ability.
