Well i disagree with the majority here on this. Way too injury prone and goes missing in too many games to have that kind of valuation, regardless of how good he can be. 135m plus addons is kinda close to 150m btw.

£135m + addons is fine. But should never ever happen before a(or two really) replacement are in place.

Think Isak wanting to leave has more to do with Liverpool than Newcastle tbh. Looking at it objectively its hard to deny that it's a really attractive destination atm.

We are never going to straight up replace Isak. But Wissa + this guy goes a long way. Think it's an improvement compared to last season atleast. Though not as good as when Isak and Wilson both were in form.

Well it makes sense if they are lying, if everyone knew he was a goner for a record fee it would make negotiations for replacements hard.

He is fantastic and of the best strikers in the world when he is in form, but I also think he is too inconsistent for us not to accept an offer of £140-150m. I'm convinced we can use that money to build a much better overall squad.

I do agree with some of your points regarding the impression left behind if we let players get their way after kicking up a fuss. But I dont think its that bad if we stick to our ground and only let him go for what we believe his value is. I kinda also don't want those type of players here, so when they show their hands good riddance I'd say. Eddie himself said that he only wanted players who are desperate to play here. And on the other hand if we don't let him get his "dream move" it also can have a negative impact on players wanting to come here. Don't think supporters will lose faith if we sell and him reinvest massively into the squad. Sure people can be sceptical about if we will do that considering how the summer so far has gone. But we have always stayed close to our PSR limit so far and i don't see why that will change myself. And I'm assuming that if he goes it will be with the "blessing" of Eddie, its not like i want the club to overrule him on this matter.

I don't think a lot of people are willing to capitulate to Liverpool. They should only get him if they pay fair value.

What will happen? Doubt anyone outside of Newcastle would even bat an eye. Just business as normal.
