I mean sure we have been unlucky with injuries, but we have a bench of players not being utilized for 4 games before this. Need to replace all of those atleast.
-
And fuck off with blaming any of the players. They have ran their socks off the entire season. If we are ever going to compete in multiple competitions with our current playstyle, we need a much bigger squad.
-
Really got to question Howe starting an unchanged team again, and right before the Milan game. I dont care that we dont have the best quality available on the bench. The quality from the players on the pitch today isnt exactly a high standard to replace anyways. But more importantly we need players fit and ready for Milan.

Spurs look fucked aswell. Can still get something here.
-
Still think it would have been wild to rest Trippier for this?

It is a huge concern tbh. Thats just reality. Facing it doesnt mean i am negative.

Villa's results isnt a fluke, theyve been maintaning their form for over a year now. Dont see is catching up to them if we fall further behind this month. -
Cant be easy to get a top class GK in the january window tbh. Also really need the funds to bulk up other positions. 90% sure we will stick we what we got.
-
Yeah i dont get that either, people really dont see how tired we are at the end of games? Its super obvious.
-
A huge part of our play when we are playing good is the intensity we bring. It looks like that wasnt the game plan today, simply because the players dont have the energy for it 90 mins twice a week. Even without the intensity we are used to the players looked knackered at the end. Without the intensity we are far from being a top level team.
-
The first goal was not really such a well placed shot, Dubravka was on his heels and doesnt even leap. A world class keeper with extreme reactions could have taken it. Second goal he throws himself before the shot is taken, ofcourse Pope could have taken it. The shot hits the middle of the goal. 3rd goal i dont see Pope letting in often, not from that angle. Not one of them was a bad mistake, but what we can expect from an average GK.

Its not wild. He is clearly showing huge signs of fatigue and we have the most important match so far this year coming up 3 days later. If he puts on the same eleven vs both Spurs and Milan its more than likely going to end with us not winning either. We got to have some young talents in our academy who can get the chance? Atleast half an hour or so.

Are we sure that the obligation to buy clause doesnt include a minimum amount of games? Cant understand not giving him some minutes when Trippier is clearly done for.
-
Its clear to see that we are lacking in energy at the end of games. 5 days or not.
-
We have to sacrifice some games, he cant let the same players play 90min twice a week any longer.
-
Why on earth is it a embarrasing excuse? Its reality.
-
Cant be worse than a fatigued Trippier.
-
Wonder whats up with Hall.

Pope saves that

As a non-local, I really dislike this draw. Scared of more injuries. Their players are going to go crazy mode. Hopefully Livra, Bruno, Isak etc. will get rested for this one. -
Lets just keep playing like we did against Man utd. He didnt have much to do there Even though I think Pope have been an important part of getting us to where we are now, I also think he was up for replacement soon enough. Need a keeper who is better with his feets going forward. Awful timing though. Feel bad for him
-
Not a bench player for me, more a rotating player for easier games maybe? Think he is best utilized when he plays the full 90 mins.
-
Not going to be easy, Almiron brings so much to the team. If he just could get some consistency in his finishing.. I actually think our first team is on par with most atm(in practice, not on paper). Just need a bigger squad, bigger than others considering the intensity in our play.

Was a fan of ASM myself, havent missed him a single second when I think about it

His appointment (and Emery being the other choice) also shows have well run we are as a club now. Going to challenge Man City bigtime in a year or two when we get a squad filled out with only quality players.
