Didn’t he work for a media company? Although he comes across as a twat I don’t enjoy seeing someone lose their job over that but he should’ve known that it would come back and bite him on the arse. Twitter is absolutely full of people of all different views and persuasions who seem to like grassing people up to their employers over stuff like this. Suspect he was half cut when he did it. This is predicated on our staying up but I would get rid of Sean and Matty Longstaff. If they turn out to be good players we can buy them back. People might think that sounds daft but we’ll have the money. Let’s face it, we’re going to be buying better players who are much more the finished article and their opportunities will be limited. They are both at an age where they need regular football. I’ve seen too many players hang around for that chance to break into the first team and then they leave eventually and their careers go nowhere. I think this is because they’ve stagnated by missing out on the development of their peers who have played more. I love seeing local lads come through as much anyone but even Matty, who’s nearly 22, is of an age where he’s no longer a kid with potential but someone who needs first team action. Wherever that may be

I think he’s shone in a poor side where, alongside Wilson, he’s been the only one offering any attacking threat. I think he liked playing for Bruce because his remit was basically go out and do what you want in the final third. Can he be more of a team player in a side that’s actually being coached? Can he perform better with better players alongside him? Can he become more consistent? The jury’s out to be honest, which is why some fans doubt him a bit. There’s no question he’s been one of the few bright sparks over the last couple of years though

I used to have some great conversations with Parky about literature and music and stuff but some of the batshit crazy stuff seems even less funny in the post-Trump/Brexit/Covidiot world
