Imagine all the lads not on international duty have been given some time to get away and recharge the batteries. Obviously he has had much/any physical exertion, but mentally he probably needs some time away from everything. Just for fuck sake someone make sure there are no betting apps on his phone.

Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)

Actually think he needs to be left in Holland. It's way better for his long term development to play on a fairly consistent basis there than coming here and getting a few 10 minute cameo's between now and the end of the season. Fully expect him to be in the squad next season. -
If the rule change does go through what exactly do suggest we do. Any legal appeal would go on way past Jan anyway. Already mentioned it on the previous page, the most effective way of killing this is PIF making it clear that, if this passes, they won't be chucking anymore huge sums at clubs for the aging players they want off the books. This would fuck over Man U especially, as Saudi is the only hope they have of getting a big fee for Casemiro. Or potentially even Sancho.
-
Easy way to stop this is the PIF letting it be known that, if this goes through, they'll no long be interested in picking up players from the PL. Might make the likes of Man Utd & Liverpool reconsider when they suddenly lose the ability get 40+m for players who are well past it/they need to shift.

I ultimately don't think much action will be taken in terms of us getting players from/selling players too Saudi, so long as we don't blatantly take the piss. Like getting Neves of Milenkovic-Savic for under 10m. The other side, especially the top 6 ones can't afford to lose the ability of moving high earners who are past it/not wanted over there. Piss off the PIF and the could lose that outlet.

Seems to me rather than Philips it's Neves that's the one that's so obvious it should be nailed on, at least on loan. He wants to come back to the PL, and always seemed like a grafter as well as being technically sound. And happens to be owned by the same people that own us...
-
He supposedly only started playing LB last season when he came into the Chelsea side. Believe he considers himself a CM. May want to change that thinking, as he really does have all the tools needed for a top tier modern full back.
-
After these two Livramento performances we should feel confident giving Trippier more rest. Even now this lad could get a game at RB at at least 12/13 teams in the PL. No reason when the likes of Luton, Bournemouth, Sheff Utd etc come to St James we should feel like Trippier has to play.
-
One of the biggest takeaways for me last night was just how much more/better football we were able to play with Hall at LB. Obviously BDB is solid as fuck, & likely won't be getting dropped consistently this season, but having a quicker, more technically proficient player in there allows us to switch up. Most games we tend to favour building up down the right.

Believe he did, but also I believe I read somewhere that he felt he was unprofessional back then. Bad timekeeping in terms of showing up for training, team bus etc.
-
I imagine it's going to be nigh on impossible to prove that Milan actually knew anything about this before they sold him.
-
Imagine 12 months is going to be the number, with perhaps another 6 suspended. Will be properly back around Xmas next year, depending on when he can start training.

Isn't there a story that Ben White didn't know who Patrick Viera was as he never really watched football growing up?

The Asics blue paint brush away top doesn't get love it deserves. Maybe because it's too close timeline wise the legendary hooped away shirt, but I honestly rank it as our second best ever away shirt.

Rating a transfer window out of 10 is pretty weird behaviour in general, lads. Like, really, what would be the exact difference between a 7 and an 8. It's been a good window. About what I thought it would be after we qualified for the CL. Better than I thought it would be after the 'only 80-100m' stuff was flying.

Once Barnes was confirmed I was convinced that Gordon would be starting on the right, especially after we pulled out of our slump last season by switching to having a right footed player (Murphy) on the right. Still may be the long term plan, was just sure it's how we'd start the season.

I feel like by the end of the Adidas deal it was pretty clear that, whatever their tier system is (or was back then), we had fallen pretty far down it.
-
Turns out there's been a bit of a mix up. Turns out his family were huge Newcastle Jets fans.
-
They really wouldn't, and don't really care until the deal is done and they have a new co-worker. Hasn't it always been implied that Rob's contact is someone pretty low on the totem pole in the scouting or data analysis department?
-
Casey/Burnsie really haven't taken there being actual ITK account out there well. They need to be able to peddle their own bullshit without being made to look (more) stupid by someone who clearly has actual contacts.
-
Whilst our stealth has improved, our speed still needs to catch up. Now this appears to be happening I imagine it doesn't get to the confirmation/signed point till around the middle of next week.
-
Think Trippier's role as full back Dad will be fine. Same sort of role, just one is right footed and one is left. Also, fully expect Dan Burn to continue to start consistently at least up to the Xmas period. Feel like the number of games round then is where Hall will get his chance to break in and (ideally) make the spot his own.
-
I would like to see if any of the folks slating him (or any 'greedy' player) for seeing his contract out would actually turn down just over 3.5m per year (before tax) on principle/pride. Which is what they're asking Fraser to do.
-
You going to buy him like?

Every window we get linked with some random South American talent and nothing ever comes of it.
