Have a look in on RTG. They're not taking this well at all. -
[LCF] Newcastle United 2-1 Liverpool - NUFC LEAGUE CUP WINNERS
sushimonster85 replied to 54's topic in Football
Best day of my life -
Last time against Man U I just couldn't see us winning, no matter how hard it tried. Today, for whatever reason, I just can't see us losing Not sure why I feel this way. I know it's mental. I know I'm setting myself up for heartbreak. But I just can't see us getting beat today. To go a step further, I feel like it may not even be close.. 3-0 the lads.

65k is fine. People complain enough about the atmosphere already, really think it will get any better with an extra 25k of randoms/out of towners/hospitality?

Sven Botman: could return vs Ipswich (Tindall)
sushimonster85 replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
This really depends on what the coaching team are seeing from Botman when he returns. After this length of time out his development may have been significantly impacted. Do you gamble on him getting back on track, or cut losses. Personally I'd keep him, but I wouldn't say a sale doesn't make any sense. -
I'm the opposite. Been quietly confident these past couple weeks. Had a feeling that our name was on the cup this year. Last night was a reality check. I know there has been some bed wetting, but we honestly didn't play that badly last night, and we still barely laid a glove of them. That being said, I do agree with @conjo in that at least we didn't use up our one jammy Liverpool win last night. If we had somehow won last night there's no way they would have allowed that to happen again in the final.

Yeah, but why do you think that is what I'm asking? What about his coaching style, man management etc makes you think 'he is at his peak'
-
Why is he not the manager to take us forward?
-
Given Lascelles is likely off we really need to keep Schar, but hopefully next season we will have someone we are phasing in to be his successor.
-
Do people actually think PSR, and the effect it has on out ability to spend, is actually just made up and we use it as an excuse for not spending?

This happens every Feb, all the media outlets just re-heat all the Jan rumours for the Summer. Don't fall for it.

Tonali and Bruno are going to be more key than they usually are. -

Should always be this. We are the only sports team on the planet who can use it knowing we don't need to even check with the band. Make the most of it. -

I'd give both bollocks for an Isak goal inside 5 minutes tonight. Turn the game into one long celebration. -
This. No good blaming the lack of atmosphere on the ground when more and more games at SJP are going by with barely a peep from from crowd. Don't get me wrong, it's not every game, but it's becoming more regular. The atmosphere will be good if we make it good. Regardless of the ground. In fact if you want to talk acoustics, it (in theory) should be better in a more closed off, bowl type stadium that isn' so drastically different in it's sizes from one half of the ground to the other.

To be fair to whoever that was, the article does mention there is likely to be opposition from the council. This is far from done. Just heirarchy at the club are leaning towards recommending this option to the PIF.

This forum needs to get back to what it does best. Namely dealing with nerve wracking/troubling times with prime era Aniston pictures and gifs.

Not as confident Dub will actually get done, but there's no way we aren't extending Schar. Only way that doesn't happen is if he wants off.
-
Probably not. But I very much doubt he will be surprised. Nor will any anger he has will be directed at the club/Mitchell. Like the rest of us he will be pissed off at PSR.
-
If we don't get CL we will likely have to compromise on the price a little. Otherwise we may get to keep him longer, but risk losing him for nothing when his contract is done.
-
This is the actual thing. We have been crying out for a refresh in terms of players for a while now. Like, probably a year. PSR doing it's job....
