Totally agree, would’ve been a perfect move for the lad He never looked anywhere near it to me tbh - it was all built around 45 mins in a friendly against Barcelona, who looked as interested as we did against the same side (the A League XI). He was very, very raw - he wasn’t a regular starter for Central Coast at the time (apropos of nowt I’m heading off there in about an hour for a day with my partner’s family). Australia isn’t exactly a football hotbed, and the locals who do watch it got themselves a wee bit overexcited about the lad
-
Trippier was the one getting dragged out of position - he was completely at fault for the second because of it. What’s annoying is he did the same thing at VP two seasons ago, and he hasn’t got quicker since
-
He’s miles away from that level
-
He was raw as buggery, and we tried to farm him out at too high a level - the loans we gave the kid were absolutely ridiculous. He wasn’t even a regular starter here in the A-League. I feel sorry for the lad tbh.
-
I thought he had his best game in yonks midweek tbh. Looked knackered today, the criticism I’d have is that he needs to calm down a bit in games like this, his head does go and we could end up with him missing for three games as a result
-
Hall was also very highly rated when he joined - I don’t remember seeing anyone talk about the centre forward at Sheff Utd who hadn’t scored a goal
-
I’d rather lose every game for the rest of the season than see the bloke do something potentially dangerous. He’ll be back when he’s back
-
I’m not sure it would’ve made any difference today - we’ve seen a fair few games like today’s, with leggy performances and substitutes made reactively (and late)
-
We’d have been further ahead of Villa in 6th - it would have been a better return.
-
Not sure about that like - but it would be good to be able to kick on
-
Agree on that one - I did think we should’ve made significant changes vs Palace much earlier (possibly at HT)
-
In tiredness, i initially read that as ‘could easily have had 12 yellows’ and i still thought ‘yep’
-
It’s tongue-in-cheek At least I hope so, otherwise we have borne witness to the most insane post ever
-
Not at all convinced by the idea of resting players for this match - the options look very limited. I’d have taken Joelinton off for Willock and Murphy for Gordon (and told Gordon he’s playing RW) well before the 60th minute mind
-
A lot in wages, though
-
There is bugger-all to come from the bench. Three games in a week at this stage is a massive ask - hopefully that gets corrected in the summer
-
Shit day at the office, it’s more the identity of the opponent than owt else which rankles. Nothing is forgiven nor forgotten, fuck these cunts.
-
Our owners did that for them, which was nice
-
Haven’t seen anyone say we’re shite - because we’re not This is a shite performance, though - which happens
-
It feels like it might tbh
-
Getting embarrassing now
-
Shite

We have, but we’ve been hurt by this side before in the same manner These games exposed our weaknesses- lack of pace at the back, lack of technique with some of the others
-
We got done like that a couple of seasons ago. Somehow we haven’t learned from it
