And despite the deeply suspicious Wearside accent, this time from an NUFC supporter in the form of Michael Bridges -
Yeah, we’ve long had those issues. Derek Wright’s sponge should’ve been returned to the magician’s shop he bought it from - it never seemed to work
-
True enough 🙂 But I have always thought our injury record was the result of our playing style
-
If we played with the same intensity as we did then it would be impressive.
-
Haha fucking hell that sounds horrific!

I wouldn't pay for that Emirates flight because the prices have gone through the roof over the last year or so; the thought of being trapped next to Gaz Beadle wannabes reduces the appeal further. The appeal of Dubai is absolutely lost on me.

The numbers allowed on Hajj is restricted, and each country gets a quota. At the moment, the UK is allowed 3,500 pilgrims per year. Even if they were all flying out of Newcastle (doubtful), it’s not exactly huge numbers.
-
In fairness they were the ones who rushed him back last time and now he’s been out for over a year as a result

English football was really poor in the ‘90s, so I’m not entirely sure he was. Was at his best before Phil Neville crocked him halfway through 95/96. Gillespie’s output was roughly the same as Murphy’s has been under Howe.
-
None of those four players were fringe players, mind. Sellars, Fox and Gillespie were all first choice for most of their NUFC careers; Watson was towards the end of his.
-
He definitely would have - I also think he’s as good a player as Gillespie or Fox, both of whom were good but limited. The PL has improved massively since then, mind. But the lad doesn’t deserve the pelters he gets.

A new stadium isn’t lost investment, its value would be added to the club’s value. Sponsorships are more of a sunk cost than a stadium. Even that gormless twat at Everton built them a new stadium.
-
If we’re sponsored by PIF-related companies, why would they force us to lock in ten year deals?
-
We haven’t doubled our revenue in three years, and this year will flatline. So if that’s the target it’s been missed.
-
Revenue is definitely not doubled
