  1. I’ve signed all of them as wonder kids on various iterations of CM / FM
  2. Tbf I doubt your gaffer just read in the paper that you’re thinking about joining the firm round the corner
  3. I know an alcoholic and it's no laughing matter - particularly for his wife. She's got alopecia, so not a happy home life
  4. 23:45 kick off for me. Dogs woke me up at 4:10am. Just got back from walking them, now have 17 hours of being awake to think about it. Fuck.
  5. Think you will need to change your name to MrRaspberryJamTomorrow Losing an FA Cup would hurt a lot more than a bog standard league defeat. We haven’t played these in the cup for nearly 70 years - it isn’t a ten-a-penny fixture. We’re levels above right now - there is zero excuse not to go there and beat the cunts.
  6. Whey no. If he went, the money would be ploughed back in. Also, the club wouldn’t have a choice. Look at it from Bruno’s perspective - even we get back into the top four next season, Bruno would turn 29 during the group stage. And that’s if we make it. Plus a move to PSG would see him likely get a massive pay ramp and a signing on fee. He’s also not a boyhood fan or owt. None of us would’ve thought for a second that he was wrong to leave Lyon for us.
  7. There’s nothing altruistic about what they’ve done … https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/manchester-city-council-abu-dhabi-sheikh-mansour-b2128273.html
  8. Must’ve had some red paint left over from redecorating the Black Cats Bar
  9. Me too. 1-3 NUFC, and I’m also predicting we don’t finish with eleven players on the pitch
  10. Yeah, this is it like. If NUFC are to become what we’re hoping, it never seemed likely that the first batch of signings would be there for the long haul. I totally understand why people would get anxious about this happening, but we’ve experienced this before - the sale of Andy Cole. This isn’t a ‘selling club’ anymore in the sense that it’s about profit for profit’s sake. Also, he’s still here last I checked - this could all be bollocks
  11. I don’t think we should get upset or think less of him if it happens - it’s a very short career, and he’s not getting any younger. NUFC aren’t getting CL football next season, and the drop-off in form makes us especially vulnerable. I know the support views it as a ‘project’, but ageing footballers will likely take a different view.
  12. 100%. It might even lead to a change in tactics etc - I’m sure Howe & co have plans for all scenarios.
  13. Exactly. If Bruno was sold under Ashley I’d have been pissing blood. If Bruno is sold under the current ownership, it’s because it is simply another stepping stone on the way to further growth. No player is unsellable at any club. If PSG bid, he’s off - they wouldn’t bid without putting feelers out first on a transfer of this size.
  14. If he does goes, let’s not have Eddie doing this:
  15. It doesn’t, though. The entire transfer fee would land in this financial year for FFP purposes. The transfer contract isn’t hidden form the PL or UEFA. There isn’t a way to hide intent.
  16. Release clause would mean no choice, and FFP would mean that we know we need to. There is a reason we’re targeting players of the profile we are - high resale value. I said a while back that what is being talked about is Ashley’s plan, only on steroids and with a genuine goal for impermanent. I’m ok with that.
  17. Most of those cunts are already angry. They’re just coining it off the back of them.
  18. That doesn’t make it scientific fact tbf - don’t ask me. Ask Phil Neville, Anton Ferdinand, Jobe Bellingham …
  19. Because the KSA govt bought those players to benefit their own league? Why would they just give them to us?
  20. Wouldn’t want to see him go to another English club (I also don’t think he’s Real Madrid quality)
  21. Wor lass gets to sleep with a human sewing machine, etc etc
  22. I don’t think he gets a move to Real, or Juve - and Barca are potless. Bayern aren’t going to spend £100m on a 27 YO midfielder. Other than another English club (don’t want that) then PSG seems the obvious potential destination to me.
  23. Agreed - this sort of thing was the raison d’etre of Ashley’s NUFC. There was no plan beyond trading profit. For us, it would be reinvested and then some.
