  1. That’s the bit which is somehow lost on so many. Look at those fucking doylems like that thick cunt from ‘Tyneside Life’ having a go at the protest before the KSA game at SJP’. ‘Ah divvunt judge otha people in their cuntrees’. You might do if you thought about it for a nanosecond.
  2. I never cheered NUFC conceding a goal nor losing, irrespective of the owners. Not sure what that would gain.
  3. Agreed generally, though I understand Clough in particular really did think this - his coaching and team selection have become public knowledge via ex-players, and they’ve pretty much confirmed just how simple he kept it.
  4. Yeah, I agree generally re the PFM pundit crowd
  5. One of those types of game where I’ve never felt particularly confident - the types of game we used to lose in KK and BR times, too. So hopefully I’m just being over anxious and we’ll better them
  6. Yeah, you’re right of course. That’s why the press / Mackems keep getting excited whenever a ‘PIF part of KSA state’ story comes up - they don’t understand that the ‘assurances’ were about control, not that ‘separation’ exists. And of course there’s nothing in the current O&D test which stops a state owning a club, neither - which plenty also seem confused about.
  7. I think that quote was originally Bill Shankly’s - a manager who I understand had a reasonable managerial career
  8. Let’s be honest, it was piracy of PL games. The PL doesn’t give a solitary shite about who runs the club, nor about who could step in. KSA was pirating PL IP, they wouldn’t be allowed to join until they stopped. The sale of the club went through days after the piracy issue was resolved. The ‘legally binding’ stuff is a load of hogwash.
  9. Stupidity and greed leading to unnecessary empty seats. And you’re right - they’ve jumped the gun, but it tells you where they intend to take it.
  10. There's a blocking massacre going on. I'm not worried for me, I'll be all right, but if there does have to be a cull, then so be it. I mean, that's just natural selection, in the wild some people wouldn't survive.
  11. Haha I fucking love this stuff, me. How to sum up mackem thinking in four screengrabs. Bitterness, delusion, stupidity, ignorance - all the greatest hits.
  12. There is zero chance that Cole scores 34 goals in a PL season if he was playing today (not helped of course by playing four fewer games). English football was at its weakest possibly ever in the mid-‘90s in the context of European football.
  13. The season’s barely a month old. Hope is one of those hacks who hounds people out of clubs, turning the narrative and then claiming innocence afterwards
  14. Worked for us last time - we lost the first three group games in 02/03 without scoring. Still ended canny well
  15. Literally true - and checkable on the internet, you daft sod
  16. Left stranded tonight - not that he played well, but he wasn’t going to beat that Milan back line alone
  17. Both Wembley and OT are bigger pitches than SJP…
  18. I wouldn’t have if NUFC weren’t playing in it.
  19. Fuck me, he’s got results out of these players that he had no right to get - and that’s down to far more than motivation . We’ve still got half a Steve Bruce side and we’re getting points away to Milan in the CL. The amateur hour tactical analysis by the armchair brigade is fucking tiresome. It’s patently obvious that Howe understands tactics. Jesus wept.
  20. Isak looks knackered - he’s got to come off
