Bruno and Joelinton at fault there. Wanting to blame Lascelles to let them off the hook isn’t great like -

Anderson is still a young lad, he’s got plenty of time to develop. He wasn’t great here, but I didn’t think he was shite either -

Good to see Isak back, but he’ll need time to get back to fitness & sharpness. If Wood can’t do a job against these the. God help us all -

Another one of Rafa’s waste of money signings. Great coach, not so hot in the transfer market. -

Isak has been poor for me - though I’m more than willing to ascribe that to rustiness -
Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Eddie knaas If the gaffer thinks that the best thing for the lad’s progress is being trained at NUFC, then he’s most probably right -
The club really need to start getting players off the books - Ashley re-signed a lot of the current squad on stupidly long contracts for some comfortable wages. Our current wage bill has been too high vs turnover for some time - and we’ve been told since day one that the club’s books have to balance and FFP will be adhered to.
-
Yep, League One and the SPL would therefore represent a step-up - and the lad was only making subs appearances in the A-league. Obviously the Portuguese top flight and Championship are comfortably better than what he’s played, but as we’re only talking half a season the best approach (to me) would appear to be to get the lad time and minutes in the third or fourth tier first. Bristol Rovers - like Anderson - wouldn’t be the worst shout to me.
-
Hearts or Third Division in England would represent a real step up from the utter dirge that is the A-League. Second tier football more likely an option for next season - we want the lad playing regularly though, not convinced he’s liable to do that in the ‘Championship’. It’s worth remembering that the lad couldn’t get starts at CCM - he’s best off getting game time and getting used to the much, much quicker tempo of British football.
-
It used to be called gamesmanship and unsporting behaviour. Yep
-
It long predates Wenger - Wenger pulled them away from the ‘wan nil to the Arsenal’, back four calling for offside, ‘boring boring Arsenal’ of old. Arsenal are the embodiment of success through shithousing. Fucking hell, Nick Hornsby sold piles of a book which both bemoaned and revelled in Arsenal’s constant boring play and active shithousing which made them famous.
-
Always had a soft spot for Sheff Wed. How a club that big and with that sort of history has spent more than two decades outside of the top division is unbelievable, really - they’ve still spent more years in the top flight than out of it. Playing Sheff Wed will always feel like more of a big game than playing Brighton, Palace, Bournemouth or Fulham Still want to beat them, though - and I think we win. A comfy 0-3 for me.
-
‘Sorry lads - did I miss owt?’
-
We had to drop back and press mostly in our own half after the first 5-10 mins. Shows how astute Eddie is, and also how good they are
-
I can absolutely see Arsenal winning the league after tonight though. That passing fluency will beat 90% of the sides in this league comfortably.
-
Got you - Kelly Cates seemed to suggest that Edwards had said the same. That bloke who followed was a right weapon like.
-
Just listening to BBC R5. Missed the baldy wanker’s waffle, but apparently Luke Edwards was claiming that Arsenal ‘played Newcastle off the park’ and were the ‘only team who came to play’. He’s a delightfully lovable man, isn’t he?
