That forum is reverting back to a time when they'd sit in their bars on weeknights and have their stories, Chinese whispers and comforting self delusions about us go unchallenged and become fact. Ironically its probably the reason most Newcastle fans go on there is to put their outrageous lies right.
-
I was thinking about that having to have been some sort of sponsorship. After the first 'tier' there was some Newcastle breweries panelling as I recall. Cant remember when it just dispersed but the sponsorship angle is food for thought.

In their last 100 home cup games (League Cup/FA Cup) going back 40years. 84 times they've had a lower gate than the women's match on Sunday. Three of the others were semi's. Two courtesy of Manchester United and Leeds travellings support and arguably two others because of Middlesbrough's. Its understandable they'd be bitter about it.
-
When they had a women's game at the stadium of light the only price they had to pay was to stick around after their first-team game's early kick off that they'd already paid for and watch the lasses and they still couldn't be arsed. Its hard enough herding them into going to the ground, no chance of keeping them there.

I'm of the Special Agent Dale Cooper Tibetan and cosmic signage school of predictions

Met at the same exact stage during USA '94. Pretty naff 1-1 draw. I was having chip shop battered sausage, chips and gravy at the time. The chances of history repeating are non-existent. Its too early to eat and have you seen the prices of such cuisine these days?

Keown's mentioned more than once that the Canadian's have good technique. I think its the most glaring thing they do not have. Movement, attitude, positioning, pace fine. Difficult pass over the top or through the gaps, beat a man, good crossing, good shooting -can't do.

Yep, Notts County go by 'the Pies' Chuffed for all concerned. Even the Barnsley team/fans for their occasion.
-
Don't know what instruction if any he gives, but off the ball Hutchinson is so slow and sluggish, was asleep for the equaliser. Don't know they've got in reserve but someone with legs has got to be more useful. Chuffed for the goal and the overall, not been out their depth. Not beating Belgium gets more excrutiating.

Frankel Pingle would be decent

A little cold water on the customary ridiculous reaction to one win against a poor team after England being poor themselves for a whole year probably wont hurt in the long run.
-
Its a terrible group of at 3/4 dross. Wales, US and Iran aren't capable of anything more. England should be.
-
I missed that thankfully. One of the reasons I don't support the England team. The ease with which arrogance comes to their fans and media.
-
USA v Iran in France 98 was a cracking game and there was nowt on it. Apart from historic tensions, mostly one way. No team in this group could have asked for a better group.

They just can't catch a break the mackems. I'd feel sorry for them if it wasn't so richly deserved and humorous.

Many an in the end decent tournament has started with such a performance I suppose. None of them (England/Argentina90, Italy94/06) looked as poor individually and collectively as Belgium mind. Got really invested in that behind Canada. Hope they get something somewhere, Morocco having to go for the win and chasing goals difference is their chance

Definitely above my level then. Was just kids with me. Though one us went on to manage Whitley Bay at Wembley iirc and certainly one of the Shields.

Aye. My Dad's just said he was a community coach there, he might have heard that wrong and he was actually higher up than that, did a bit of that myself (community level) for them having a few connections and a failed career. Name doesn't ring a bell but a few of us talked about this 'football coach USA' thing that was going around and based in Durham at the time as a way to make a better living from it.

Saying this is okay or not as bad because its different to being part owned by an organisation from the country....is whataboutery.
