  1. its shit. but its shit in liverpools favour. when do they ever give shit decisions that stop them from winning a match, never
  2. I remember I had the courage to re-watch the 4-3 under keegan. The tide of favourable decisions for liverpool is evident then. 30 seconds before collymores winner newcastle have a freekick on the edge of the box which ferdinand thumps off a liverpool player in the wall and it loops out of play for a corner, the referee gives a goalkick. One thing is certain, if Ferdinands free kick had went in or we'd got the decision and the match finishes 3-3, they wouldn't be calling it the greatest match of all time
  3. every fuckin week. game after game. pure corruption and its been going on for much longer than we think
  4. So how do we caution the gust of air for taking out nunez? These cheating media wanked off cunts need absolutely put in their place. horrible club
  5. i was thinking that the free kick for our 2nd goal against Man utd was a bit soft, think it was longstaff who was fouled, he bought it if you like, but then rashford got a softer one in the final which led to their opening goal. Apart from that I can't remember us getting many soft ones, certainly not on the scale of villa who must have set a record for players going down, especially against brushing or just a gust of air. it was reminiscent of football italia back in the day

made to think about all the stadium building in the 90s and then level 7 on top of the leazes that only 5 year old. Things happened very fast in that period. There was also the efforts to boost it up to 60k before Ashley came in. Focusing just the stadium with regard to the ashley years, it really does highlight the most stagnated period in the clubs recent history as other clubs have been proactive and bought land over the years or simply went and built new stadiums. It bothers me that everton will jump us next season and aston villa will match our capacity in the next few years. I'm still hopeful hear something in the summer. SJP needs to be in the top 3 or 4 of the county

Let's say they go with the original idea and plant the foundations beyond the metro, obviously that structure is going to be HUGE but I also believe that it would still be level with the rest of the stadium. That means the stand itself would have far less of an incline (like a giant Kop). My question would be would they knock down the whole gallowgate and start again? or would it just be the new upper tier that extends way further back at a different angle? aesthetically that would be a bit weird. If the new tier continued at the same incline as the gallowgate we'd be talking way above level 7 which is probably somewhere just below the troposphere. Also the original plans didn't include the Gallowgate West Corner as I believe this was the most problematic area where the metro is concerned underneath. That means the 7000+ had to come from the gallowgate extra tier alone (the leazes top tier has just over 3000 if you don't include the corner, not a lot considering it's mammoth height)

makes you wonder what kind of chaos there will be if the east stand is eventually replaced/redeveloped
  10. I never actually read any of the shit back then (mind why would I want to) but your right it's comedy gold, I still need convinced it's not a piss take
  11. has anybody got any decent design skills to update his brochure? A few amendments are of course necessary, especially page 1 entitled 'Fucking Twat' followed by some nonsensical quotes and pictures of him oafing around a golf course

I don't think this is going to be on the same timescale as something like the anfield road end at liverpool, I think with the significant obstacles, we are probably looking at 2 years of construction when we factor in all the side projects such as The metro/The road on Strawberry place (rerouting or closure, Hotel, Fanzone, Club Megastore?? and other facilities and ultimately expansion of the gallowgate (whatever that looks like). As Whitley mag says they'll want the stadium ready for the Euros so I think we might be looking at kicking off the 2027-28 season with a new look SJP which probably means we might see plans in the next 12 months With anfield boosting 61000 and the likes of everton moving up to 52888 (whether they are in prem or not) this might accelerate things 2028 - euros
  13. must of the cunts sitting in the colin bell stand probably don't know who he is.

noticed empty seats at the etihad yesterday, whilst we are not talking about rows there was plenty of single seats vacant around the ground. This is as they have just released plans to spunk another 7000 seats mackem style (just to remind everyone that the flatpack characterless heap of shit has an extra tier which has served a similar purpose to a pair of nuns tits) For some reason this always drags me back to the time Souness had the audacity to claim that 'Newcastle are not a proper club' even pardew with his puppet strings now relaxed couldn't believe what he was hearing and quite rightly challenged him, unfortunately the situation needed someone to take Souness to the cleaners and retort with facts to make him look like the inadequate bitter fucking cunt he is. I wonder if Wembley had a capacity of 200,000 how many tickets would NUFC sold? 80000? 90000? 100000? the likes of Souness would say the novelty would wear off. But what if the proper clubs had to endure nearly 2 decades of asset stripping, relegation and complete neglect, playing second fiddle to a shit tracksuit company. Imagine those single empty seats becoming rows and blocks as the day trippers/half and half scarf wearing pricks that spend all the match holding their phones can't fuck off quick enough. For me supporting Newcastle was never a choice, you are inextricably linked to the city/team, it's in your blood. It's not because you saw bobby charlton punting shit 300 miles away so you choose 'united' or because you are a 'fan' of Haaland so you now follow 'city'. Quite simply I hear someone say I support 'united' or 'city' I just think what a dick, a fucking fraud. Especially united, which is quite a significant disregard of history, I'm still waiting to hear which 2 teams united to make Manchester United. I'm probs going off topic a bit. but this again fits into the bullshit category. Sky and social media are littered with these sorts of people, that support the 'proper' clubs, the media get a wide on for that shit. To go back on topic...If we do stay at SJP (i think we will) at least we are guaranteed 60000-65000 proper fans, I'm sure with expansion we will be addressing singing sections, safe standing, acoustics and more flexible seating to sit nearer your mates. Maybe there would be scope to pay on the door again. I really don't want to move from SJP because that's what makes us a proper club, I can't stand Liverpool, but I'm sure they've retained their identity by redeveloping Anfield (at the expense of peoples homes mind). I watched a ground tour at Spurs and yes it's impressive, but it's vacuous, and you only have to compare the comfort of the Emirates to the nightmare of playing at Highbury, but I'm sure that point as been made over and over again on this thread. If we couldn't redevelop SJP then the only option would be to redevelop the site. Personally I think we'll go with the easiest (but still an expensive option) and redevelop the gallowgate, I just can't see us knocking huge chunks of the leazes and milburn down, it just wouldn't make any sense from the saudi's investment point of view for a multitude of reasons even with the significant challenges of building on strawberry place. if we'd went out and bought neymar and ronaldo then maybe, but they've shown that is not the way forward or sustainable. I think the last 3 results have told us, let's keep our feet on the ground, and we should take the same attitude about stadium redevelopment. With Euro 2028 destined for the UK and Ireland I think we should see some plans either in the summer or certainly 2024 with scope for work to start 2025 or at the latest 2026. A bit of a waffle that, but it's sunday morning and theres fuck all else on my mind.
  15. was listening to that chris wilder who was keen to play down our domination in possession and claimed man utd just let newcastle have the ball because they had the 2 goal cushion, whilst there is probably some truth in that he neglected to add that man utd's goals were against the run of play. not the first time he's been eager to steal credit from us

i noticed that newcastles 2022/23 page on wikipedia has 52,758, I'm thinking this has to be wrong. What is the max capacity? 52,305?
  17. When Shaw is about to take the free kick, how can they determine that wieghorst is NOT the intended target? surely any fucker that makes an attempt to run forward has to be flagged as offside? I bet there's 500 examples of goals chalked off in identical circumstances. New rules? fucking bollocks, it may not be next week, maybe not the week after but we know there will be an exact situation where Man Utd are the defending team where the goal is chalked off. Corruption, plain and fuckin simple
  18. yep, was in a very similar area of the pitch too?
  19. very difficult question to answer. Makes me think of that 1 bullet in the gun dilemma which is solved by putting their heads together
  20. It's a fair point, I think we've only done it against Fulham, however I suppose injuries have prevented us from playing Isak and Wilson in the same team. I do believe though the familiar system has become...well too familiar
  21. aye, at least 3 options and only 3 man utd defenders back, was really poor
  22. more like 4-2-3-1, I was thinking. Why do you think it would be insane?
  23. aye, totally agree. He won't change his philosophy

    Alexander Isak

today he offered nothing going forward, looked a huge step up for him. Problem is that he's our top scorer, which on paper would make him a controversial one to drop.
  25. Would have been more interesting if we'd set up for the start of the match like how we were in the 2nd half, the problem is again we ended up chasing the game by conceding 2 shit goals. I knew he wouldn't start wilson and Isak together although I was praying he would. The false winger system seems to be in decline, especially for us. The whole point is that miggy and max are meant to get opportunities to come inside and shoot, and that just is not happening. I think Isak just behind Wilson and Max/Miggy swapped over would have done far more damage at 0-0. Everytime Trippier sends Miggy to the goal line I think whats the point, he's got to come back. In the first half Longstaff put an amazing ball across the 6 yard box, but Wilson clearly didn't expect it because he came short, he obviously thinks it's never going to come in
