you think they will relocate the corporate facilities in the corner? takes up a canny amount of room

When you think that pitch level is above shearers bar, adding level 7 is going to make this thing a monster! I don't think level 7 would fit into this picture! A few people discussing alternatives to just recreating leazes/milburn level 7 wrap around.....aesthetically that would be the best option, however I'm convinced that was not going to be the casino 60k project. As far as I know (I'm sure we've spoke way back in thread about this, although now seems more relevant) the casino expansion did not include the gallowgate west corner, but rather a single megastructure that went back beyond the metro to make a giant gallowgate but far less incline (like the kop) with the GWC remaining in its current form. I think the roof of the gallowgate would be the same level as the rest of the stadium. Wish we could get a pic of what that would look like

flatten eldon square and bring back bourgognes. they could move eldon square brick by brick, I'm not sure where though

exactly. securing the land basically means there is no need to move anything. I don't know why the fuck people are still on about demolishing the whole ground and shit. We've got what we've got and we are going to improve it gradually. 200m+ is a lot of money for 8000-9000 seats, however it raises the profile of the club and has us in the same bracket as the top clubs particularly if it helps upgrade extra corporate shit as well

I really doubt the road is much of an issue. It was closed during the first Gallowgate rebuild and I can't remember any uproar back then. Plenty of clubs have extended this way, Aston Villa did and that looked more complex as the road doesn't run linear. Old trafford and Chelsea actually have train lines running behind stands they wish to extend which I presuming is a much bigger problem

it's a familiar oversight, but Leazes terrace isn't the main problem with regard to the East stand. If light issues and all that other fucking environmental shit wasn't a problem then the East stand could easily go back with the road running underneath. St James' terrace (grade 2 listed) on the otherhand is almost a cunt hairs length away

you could do that but you'd only be gaining what you lost on the milburn. We could use some of the space around the pitch but then uefa requires a team to have 7m around the pitch for international matches, so that would be a sacrifice, with euro 2028 on the horizon thats unlikely

I wonder why the council was trying to encourage the development forward?

    St James' Park

all the imagery they've used down there of the players would be better off in the club shop or on the concourse And with regard to club shop....remember when you used to not only have pictures of players but you had TV's playing goals by newcastle, you also had all kinds of nufc merchandise. Ashley was quite simply the man that everything he touched turned to shit

    St James' Park

just out of interest, how far back do you think the structure would go (for the sake of argument lets not include the stairwells) would you say just beyond the road? You'd think with the exception of one building there would be still scope to expand. My fear is that the club would need the metro station to close, but developers will want the metro to stay so them cunts that occupy them buildings can use it

    Andy Cole

it's only a waste of time if you choose to ignore the stats, Cole/Yorke was not as prolific as your suggesting. Cole/Big Les... we'll never know
  18. Mr Pups

    Andy Cole

man utd won the treble. You were on about partnerships
  19. Mr Pups

    Andy Cole

Coles form coincided with Cantona's retirement. Thats why Peter Beardsley was a better player than Cantona, Beardsley got the best out of players around him and improved them
  20. Mr Pups

    Andy Cole

why not? Cole and Yorke's record was not that great. It's another myth presented to us by the media. Even rat boy and the pantomime horse had a better record
  21. It's like going back to the Robert days, get him out the lazy bastard they said, then Shearer had no service

    Anthony Gordon

scored at OT, Anfield and Stamford Bridge.....makes him sound mint. Reality was that most 12 year olds could kick the ball harder
