I've always appreciated the work of Bob Holness from Blockbusters

The "Time For Him to Go" numbers are dwindling. I think it's the first time I've seen that number drop. Must have been some understandable fewmin marra knee jerks after the mackem loss
-
I don't know why the defence had dropped off so hard. It wasn't long ago we had one of the best defences in the league under Howe, but we're leaking goals for fun now. Both keepers have been pony when it comes to making saves, a few extra individual errors at the back and the midfield looks easier to play through than it was, but I don't know why that's happening or what is needed to fix it

I'd be shocked, even

I'd be pretty surprised like

That's more to do with a build up of fatigue from the number of games we've played than it is on how we set up against teams like the mackems though. And it's a different point entirely. Not holding on to leads has been a big issue, but the fact we're in a position to hold onto a lead in the first place means we're set up well
-
How do you suppose we were the better team in the first half and were unlucky not to be two nowt up at half time? Seems to me like we set up pretty well but didn't see it through into the second half. And it's not like the mackems changed anything, other than booting another of our defenders out of the game

Yep. More recently there were a load who wanted Rafa out because he was playing boring football. I wonder if they enjoyed BruceBall? There are always a few all too ready to turn on the manager despite it not making very much sense

I'm still Howe in. Three weeks to reset and come back from this. European football is still possible
-
He's made his bed though. If he looked the part at any point this season he'd have been worthy of a place in the team. He can't turn round and say he deserves to start given his performances so far. I'm hoping after a pre season injury free he'll do the business next season
-
That's what I'm seeing. I'm curious to see how Nagelsmann uses him for Germany after his comments. Probably getting spelks in his arse on the bench
-
Gave a good interview there. Defensive mistakes in the first half cost us then they blew us away second half. Proud of the lads, last 16 of the champions league isn't for everyone. I think this will hurt them but will spur them on for the rest of the season

AFCON 2025: CAF overturn final result and award 3-0 victory to Morocco

This popped up on TalkSport on Saturday morning. Adrian Durham and a few others absolutely gob smacked that we'd consider Barca the bigger game. I don't get it, in no way is local bragging rights more important than a champion's league knockout tie. Strange thinking

That's the reanimated corpse of Lewis Hall's great, great grandfather -
That's a picture of Gateshead, hew?

Yeah, fully agree. It's not organized corruption or anything as sinister as that, but the refs definitely err of the side of "big" and we routinely get shafted by it. That's why I was delighted when VAR came in because we suddenly started getting way more pens than we used to. Every time a ref's selective blindness kicks in real time there is a chance to go back and fix it now where it was just one of those things back in the day. "These things even out over the season" my arse
-
Neatly sums up the entitlement of the Howe Outers there. No credit given for our wins, spitting feathers when we lose. Embarrassing behavior

Ref's a bitch

I'd love to stitch the nut on that cunt

Absolutely hateful commentary. Die in a rape epidemic

Why's Wissa taking a short corner there?

They've not shut up about either happening
