  1. A speedy recovery for Mr Howe. It's rare to see a British manager do well in the EPL these days so hope to see him soon 100% and taking you guys further.
  2. Yeah, I was thinking of a "caretaker" type of manager who'd keep the place ticking over until our issues were resolved and we'd be allowed to sign players again and not start a season with a points deduction hanging over our heads. If not Rafa, maybe we could attract Dean Smith again.... (although he may be less than willing). If he hadn't gone to Plymouth I'd even consider Rooney...no wait, that wouldn't work, something called Wagather...
  3. We've got to sort out our financial stuff first. Otherwise points deductions and inability to bring in quality players will make the job nearly impossible for most managers. Having said that (and I'm in a minority on this) it may be worth getting Rafa down the King Power for a season or two, to steady the ship on limited resources (or even Sean Dyche if we could prise him away from Everton). Top 8? Maybe next year in the Championship at best. I really fear what's coming this season. Don't expect to see much entertaining football from us this year, we'll be parking the bus as a standard.
  4. Enzo may be less than impressed with some of the Leicester fanbase, but I think he's got more logical reasons for wanting to leave Leicester. There are strong rumours of a huge points deduction, plus it may be close to impossible to sign up Premier class players. It may end up being an impossible task for any manager to keep Leicester up this season. Of course he's jumping to a club that's famous for over-spending to a stratospheric level. But like another City team, we don't expect punitive measures anytime soon.
  5. I have to admit that a certain fraction of the Leicester fanbase have become choosy, entitled and maybe delusional. Enzo took over when things were falling apart, and we'd been forced into letting several top class players move on - Barnes, Maddison, Tielemans, Evans It's true we made a couple of good replacement signings. But to assume that it was a done deal to go straight back up is far from the truth, and disrespectful to the other clubs. Ask any Leeds fan. No manager can win all the games in his first season, but Enzo did his job and got the club promoted as champions. We weren't winning most matches 8-nil but if that's what you want from a manager you may be in for a long wait. Enzo "should" do better at Chelsea as he'll get the chance to work with a better squad of players. But hey, it's Chelsea, so who knows?
  6. Chelsea recall Casadei from Leicester. Strange one this, he's not always been on his game at Leicester, but maybe Poch sees a way he can utilise the player.

    Harvey Barnes

Hope he's back soon knocking in the goals for your lot. It doesn't do our potential sales any good if our players become knobbled when they move elsewhere. We knew Madders would not be consistently available for whomever he signed for, but most Leicester fans would have said Barnes is fairly resilient. Hopefully he'll show it February onwards.
  8. That would mean they got relegated, so can't see it. They'll scrape by again, just to annoy everyone.
  9. Early days yet. We've actually not played consistently well in several games, and have been helped out by playing teams who lack the ability to score in front of goal. But, we should improve as we go along, which we'll need when we face the likes of Leeds, Norwich or even Saturday's opponent Hull City.

    Harvey Barnes

This, he's a player that produces results in the modern game. He's not going to dribble past players or show-boat, but he will produce and score goals. Great at making a run, or cutting inside to shoot or assist. But there will be games where he appears to go missing, before he pops up with a goal in the 68th minute. As mentioned above he gets a lot of flack on the FT talkboard, for some reason home-grown players are never granted any slack. EH will know how to utilise him well.

    Harvey Barnes

Someone mentioned above he's almost the exact opposite to ASM. He won't entertain with tricks and turns, and at times you'll pull your hair out when he seems to go missing, but then he'll get the equaliser or winner against run of play. He's just very effective at what he does. No doubt that EH knows his strengths and can work on his weaknesses. He reminds me a bit of Arjen Robben - you know every time which way he'll turn the defender, but he delivers. Plenty of Leicester fans weren't totally keen on him mind, despite being a local lad.

    Harvey Barnes

Maybe it's my dodgy memory but I'm struggling to remember him taking corners. Tended to be Albrighton or Madders. Quite rare too to see him given a free kick - players like Tielemans or Madders (or Fuchs back in the day) tended to pull rank. Got a fair shot on him if needed from range, so no reason he can't take the free kicks.

    Harvey Barnes

He'll be a threat to the opposition due to his ability to get goals and provide assists. But he'll always get some flack when he doesn't track back or dribble past players at will. Certainly no ASM, but someone to get the goals and stretch the opposition defence. One player I was hoping (naively) that Leicester could hold onto.
  14. Can't see another PL club going for De Gea with the wages he'd demand, and he can be sloppy in spells. Must be looking at a Saudi option.
  15. The situation has eased a lot, Leicester have released a lot of players whose contracts have expired, including Tielemans and Evans (unconfirmed). Other top earning players like Maddison and Barnes are being sold on. Very likely that players we bought in the last season like Faes or Souttar will have relegation contracts. Your point about the Championship is spot on, and I'm amazed at some of the entitlement of the Foxes fan base. Apparently we're going to storm the division, despite losing most of our players and a complete overhaul of coaching staff. We may turn things around, but it's going to be pretty shaky to start with, and our new purchases all have to be spot on. The season tickets got all snapped up within hours, so at least we can attract and pay the new recruits.
  16. Yep, they seem on paper to have made good buys, Szoboszlai and Mac Allister together for roughly the same amount as a Rice (although he's a sound player his fee seems crazy).
  17. Yep. Harvey Barnes will probably go to West Ham for around 35m (accept that Mount is probably a bit more versatile).
  18. Yep, 45m should get him. Maybe a touch lower if you offload one of your unwanted.
  19. For some reason a lot of Leicester fans have heat with Spurs as a club. Maybe it's just resentment that they are still seen as a big club despite winning nothing in decades, and we are still "little old Leicester" despite the PL and Cup wins. Whatever the reason, if our star player wants a move to Spurs certain fans portray it as "he wants to move to London". I think it's the only way they can process it. Me, I'm more concerned with how we replace the geezer.
  20. Looking very likely that Tielemans will sign for Villa. Given his drop in form, it's probably a good outcome for him, but a comedown from the time he was hoping for a Champions League side.
  21. Some don't rate him, others do. Even in a team that's been so poor this season he's still managed to score double figures. I think he's seen though as a player who doesn't track back and help in defence when the team struggles, which has been quite common lately. I'd prefer us to keep him over Madders, as he seems to be more robust and comes back quickly from injuries. Realistically though someone will move for him if we go down. More a Villa or Spurs type I suspect, but you may want him if Gordon doesn't work out.
  22. Yep. He's still got the skills but seems to have lost his edge and desire for much of this season. He's out of contract with Leicester this summer, but apparently finding it hard to get a new employer, partly because (it's alleged) he's asking for extravagant wages. Could be interesting where he ends up. I really don't think he'd be a good signing for your team, but wiser heads than mine may disagree.
  23. Most Leicester fans hope that Madders stays with us, even though he will never play the full season. Prospective buyers will have to take into account he will win many games for you, but you will need backup to allow him to rest games (which a club of your size will no doubt have).
  24. We're now a poor threat with Tielemans out injured for the foreseeable, and Maddison struggling to regain fitness. You saw the best of the game from a Leicester perspective - we were dire in the first half and could have been five down. A better side when Iheanacho is played, none of the fan base can work out why Brendan Rodgers dislikes starting him, or why he persists with certain players. Blackburn deserved to win on the night, but we were lousy until the last half hour, so I can't see them progressing much further. Cup games hey?
  25. They're used to cleaning up after a big cup game. Have to say there's been a lot of positive press down here, after some of your supporters cleaned up Trafalgar Square following the festivities. Normally it's just the rowdy element that gets highlighted, so good to see some positive feedback.
