If we can't at least theoretically spend big in the summer then the rules really are doing their job for the Big 6 teams. If it wasn't for the fact that we haven't really messed up on any of our transfers and Howe is a genius at getting the best out of players then we would have no chance.
-
This applies to both yours and Mazzy's post but this summer should leave us with a big amount to spend, especially if we sell a few. The year going off the books was a huge loss and alongside the assumed profit made this year should give us some wriggle room. I thought that last year so could be wrong! If we could get Mbeumo he would act as ST cover as well and Dibling and then sign a new CB, I personally think that could be doable, but I am also prepared to be PSR disappointed!

Horrible team to play against, they commit so many niggly fouls and are great on the counter. Would take a scrappy 1-0 win, we should be winning this but a draw wouldn't be awful considering how good we have been. Just hope our quality shines through and we take our chances.
-
Four year age gap though, I think there is a huge difference between Dibling at 18 and McAtee at 18. I would be happy with either of them but I think Dibling's potential ceiling is much higher.

In an ideal world we sign Dibling and an established RW in the summer and sell Murphy whilst his stock is high (should have done this with Miggy). Dibling is playing in one of the worst PL sides of all time and at times he looks incredible, still very raw and inconsistent but I believe he will become one of the best wingers in the PL in time, he has something pre Pep-ruined Grealish like about him.

Said it before but would love to see a midfield of Miley, Tonali and Bruno. Think they could really control games. At home to weaker opposition where we don’t need Joelinton’s physicality as much would be great to watch

Bit harsh to say he is technically not good at all. From what I gather at youth football he is technically very good with an end product at the end of it. He was probably shitting himself today and not playing his usual game

Weekend after the Arsenal game. Week before Man City away

I’m assuming if Joelinton, Tino or Gordon get booked again they’re suspended if we make it? If so, that’s a joke and the rule needs changing.

Feels harsh this. We have been brilliant over the last few games and today (against a team that can really show up against better teams) we showed two sides. Complete dominance away from home for a good half an hour in the first half and then a real dogged defensive performance in the second half to keep them out. If anything, I am more confident after watching that. Felt like a game from two seasons ago.

Should be targeting 10 points minimum from the next four games with the run we are on, especially with three of the games being at home. Anything below 8 would be really poor. If we could manage 10 points then we would be on 45 points from 24 games and therefore only needing 25 points from 14 games to get to 70 points (8 wins, 1 draw and 5 defeats doesn’t seem too much of an ask). So all things considered a huge month to come to really cement our chances of getting top four/five!

Feels like a bit of a free hit after the last few results but a hell of a chance to get a big three points on the road and a chance to really increase the gap between us and these lot. A look at our remaining fixtures and there were a lot of winnable home games and a lot of tricky away games on paper so the chance to get six points at Old Trafford and Tottenham due partly to the timing of playing the games and our incredible form will be a big plus. Win this and the majority of the home games that we should and we can afford to lose some of the tricker away games and still have a very positive season!
