  1. Quickly becoming as integral for us as Henderson was for Liverpool. Hes not the most technical or has an abundance of ability but his contribution to the midfield 3 and his workrate is outstanding. If he can add goals to his game now it will push him to that next level. He was one of the group i thought wed have to upgrade to move to the next level but im unsure of that now. Our midfield seems so much more balanced when hes in it
  2. Yeah it was i have no idea why i put Everton, Big Dunc scored and went nuts after
  3. How absolutely rank shit are the Republic of Ireland now man, genuinely only know 3 players in their squad
  4. I said before season starts with the added run of games and if we go deep in these competitions that injuries and suspensions would stretch the squad depth. Top 6 and a good cup run in all of them would be great. If we can sneak 5th and get that new last CL spot would be even better I think around xmas time we will be able to gauge it better
  5. What is going on there? Already 19pts behind PSV
  6. Desperate for this baller to score a hat trick weve not had one for 4 years
  7. I So wish his touch was better for the one he hit the post with as a better first touch he wouldnt have had to try and go around the keeper. Was very similar to the one against Burnley where he went clean through too. Better first touch and composure in them situations will come though. Very fine margins he scores that we go 3-1 up we win the game

    Nick Pope

Looking back on the highlights last night again yes Lascelles didnt track the runner but i just cant work out why he was even in that position for their attacker to easily stroll past him and square it into the box. Thats the 2nd major fuck up hes done this season which has cost a goal. He is a crucial part of the team but his concentration has to improve and Nick for fucks sake please stop with the stupid uneccessary punching of the ball come and claim it dominate the box like you used to when you first came That being said i think ultimately in 2 years or so he will be number 2
  9. Still seriously lacking that midfielder that can unlock defences with them in there. Until we have that kind in the midfield then we will always struggle against the low block
  10. Him and Bruno are too similar for me it has to be Bruno Longstaff/Joelinton and a creative guy in our midfield 3......Pacqueta being the ideal choice
  11. Its games like this one that highlights how much we are desperate for a creative midfielder to break down teams low block and that sit deep for periods. Pacqueta would be ideal for our Midfield alongside Bruno. All in all though for not being at the races for much of the game a point was a fair result
  12. Id have taken a point at the beginning with Gordon suspended and the injuries we have, saying that theres such a pang of disappointment to concede in the last minute of any game. Get the injured lads back after the international break and press on

    Nick Pope

Hes a heart in mouth keeper whenever he leaves the box. Long term we need to find an Allison or and Ederson type. Pope has looked shaky on numerous occasions this season with his positioning and his handling (punching rather than catching) and the less said about his kicking the better
  14. Dont think we have much of a plan B or C when things like this happen thats something Howe needs to work on especially with squad depth and rotation. All the best coaches have the ability to switch systems if one is totally ineffective against the opposition
  15. Dont see him as a scapegoat as such i just think he needs nurtured into the side. A creative midfielder is what we are seriously lacking. Breaking teams down who sit deep is a constant issue
  16. Newcastle 5-0 Man United for obvious reasons Newcastle 7-1 Leicester six goals up at half time 2 hat tricks rounds off a great season Newcastle 7-1 Spurs Newcastle 6-1 Everton FA Cup replay Newcastle 8-0 Sheff Wed Newcastle 5-1 Sunderland again for obvious reasons Antwerp 0-5 Newcastle Many many more over the 45 years since i went to my first game
  17. Think that hes struggling with the intensity and the pace difference between Serie A and the Premier league. So much more time on the ball to think and pick a pass in Italy he doesnt seem sharp enough in the midfield at all.
