First off I am absolutely delighted we ( Chelsea) qualified. After we lost at yours I have to be honest I was far from convinced we would even get Europa but hey Villas run of wins and favourable decisions had to end and today was from both our perspectives a great time for them to hit that wall. Again after our result I suspected you would get a point at Arsenal and based on the Everton post Christmas I wasn’t sure at all that they would be easy meat for you. So well done to NUFC not a bad season at all a trophy and CL qualification . We have still a lot to play for Wednesday in Poland and the US in June. Have a good summer

In the day my Dad( no doubt like most) when he was filling out his Littewoods coupon would look at the form guide printed in the newspapers and week after week he failed to win even his stake money back. As mad as it sounds I can see them getting just one more point this season and that will be away at Southampton. The midweek game in Paris means Arteta has to go 100% that game a few days on in Liverpool won’t be easy Slott will go 100% in front of an Anfield crowd grows the challenges. As for us and indeed you yes it’s in our own hands . A NUFC at its best or even close to its best will present us a massive challenge but at the same time if we are out our best it won’t be easy for you. Coote was obviously well out of order to make such comments but, here’s the only but, referees are human and like policemen, like anyone getting dogs from an individual or an entity is it any surprise that they take offence and have a strong opinion. Klopp wasnt/ isn’t alone in the delivering the level of verbal abuse that referees are expected to take on the chin so I would imagine the views Coote was expressing probably are mirrored by other referees maybe not all re matters Liverpool but based on their experience be it your club, my club or wherever. I have been to every current PL ground save Ipswich. The two worse experiences I suffered were Man City and Liverpool. City supporters in the closest section to us spent the whole game looking at us more interest in jestering all game and were quite comfortable throwing objects in the knowledge the stewards simply didn’t have a clue what to do but compared to the Anfield experience it was a joy. It can’t be anything to do with Liverpudlians because the Everton experience was fine but at Liverpool prior to the game my wife was spat on and we received the type of verbal abuse that was a level or two up from Cootes comments but once in the ground to be on the receiving end of abuse, suffering a direct hit from a urine filled ballon it’s easy to understand why someone has negative views re a particular club. Cootes days are done as a ref but why is anyone surprised that a ref dislikes a club, dislikes an individual or comes to that even has an opinion because I am pretty sure every ref has experienced abuse and has formed an opinion or has a like or a dislike because after all they are human and we all if we are honest have opinions about those we have come in contact with in our working life who have verbally abused us, accused us or whatever.

Time will tell but from everything I read save the issue of soft loans (which ironically City weren’t against when the PL clubs made the decision to exempt these loans from PSR calculations ) the objections were about the process to determine FV . Shifting the burden of proof and the access to the databank were the key objections and not the principal of APT.

It appears that Chelseas support for City was a repeat of why they voted against the amended rules namely process as opposed to the application of an APT process. It would seem that alternatives to the amended rules had been submitted for discussion but weren’t ever voted on.
