Trying to act like we and Liverpool have spent similar outlay to get the squads we have is fucking hilarious like
-
aye you have tied yourself in circles
-
"I pointed out that a bigger, more successful club in London which has similar crowds has a turnover closer to ours than Spurs" that's hyperbole like. And nah, it's really not that incredible to people who have been living and seen how things have played out over the last 15 years like.
-
Glad we cleared up that hyperbole from you. It was said relative to us, in the context of us v Spurs, its not that incredible.
-
https://www.statista.com/statistics/566666/premier-league-clubs-by-revenue/ Sure that is right? Looks like this only shows big clubs in London generate a fuck load more revenue than us like, to the surprise of, not many
-
That’s just football transfer business like, you buy players in the hope they will succeed and improve, it would have been a bit wild for them just to bring in a raft of pensioners
-
So now you are comparing Spurs and Arsenal and not us, sound, where are you moving the goalposts to next?
-
How is it "incredible" they play in London for christ sake and have always been one of the bigger clubs in the city
-
I am not mixing up either in terms of league place and finance hence I literally said in the post about the size of the club they were and are, they were patently a completely different conversation and in a different situation to…Ipswich, the mention of them only validates what I am saying, Spurs should have been finishing about Ipswich Spurs haven’t traded to become the club they are, they have been one of the top 10 clubs in the country for a long time, even when finishing out with the top 10 they were clearly going to be generating better revenue than sides finishing above them. They are a massive side playing in London, it is clearly a favorable situation to be in and aye, grand it was season 05/6 but it was before Bale and Modric, they didn't break in as a consequence of the sales of either In terms of your last point, I haven’t said don’t sell players….why would I, it would be idiotic to say it
-
Spurs never really broke into the top 6, they were always kind of, a top 6ish club it was as much to do with getting better managers in They were 5th back in 2005 long before Bale and Modric, it was a bit of a nonsense for a club of their size, playing in London to ever be finishing 10th and 11th really It isn’t like it has been a trading miracle from some small town club
-
Just choosing to patch a chunk of a players career would be a bit weird like.
-
Our great win this season against….Man U?
-
This is the point though….. heavy leaning on some kind of notion or idea the board aren’t going to back him or don’t believe in him with very little to validate it, just a bit odd like
-
always prefer posts that actually say things with their chest and go all in with what they say rather than shite bag away from what they are saying like.
-
No, but if does when it is being framed as though the club have seemingly lost belief in him, it is the consequence of people getting stuck in an echo chamber and thinking there is much substance to #sackEddie #Howeout out etc and so on For the most part, our season is just about on trend of where most would expect it to be out with a few poor results, there has never really been much substance to validate this constant narrative Howe is a man on the brink of being sacked which IS pushed often as a narrative by some, and is being leaned on when it is suggested that would be the reason the board wouldn’t back him
-
Might as well have really, quite an odd thing to be thinking about to me
-
The notion he won’t be backed just feels like the latest projection of pending doom, seems to be a comfort blanket to some to want to cling on to the idea of darkness and misery, quite odd.
-
Eddie Howe has only been in charge of us for 2 games?
-
It is 100% correct to the say the situation hasn’t changed, he probably does need European Football and should be judged on that if he actually fails to deliver that rather than the weirdo projections some wanted to put on him the last few weeks speaking of likely midtable finishes when we are so clearly in a race which could see us end well above that and deep in a cup competition. He should be given the chance to fail, if he actually does, not judged on the imposing projection of failure a fair few have been wanting to pin on him
-
Rashford would be an absolute shit show of a signing.
-
I wouldn’t be overly pissed off if we’d signed another Man U player on an expiring contract like, more so given we need a CB
-
Cherki is as good a two footed player as I’ve seen.
