Love him and think he's a great option for us BUT I don't think we should go into next season with him as our main striker. Kind of reminds me of when Shearer retired and we were all hoping Shola would step up and be our new number 9.

Sad he got that injury when he did as he was turning into a semi-regular back up option. Then he got fucked for a year and has been bit part since. Did amazing for us in the takeover season. Sad he's going. Still think he coud do a job as an emergency cb/rb, and like others have said it's good to have good people around. Anyway, hope he gets to continue his career somewhere and plays in another tournament for Sweden.

Really don't get the hype around Verbruggen. Honestly never rated him. I guess he's 23 so got years ahead of him. Would rather Trafford from what I've seen. I know we need two keepers but am sure Pope would be decent as a back up for a season while we sort out all the other positions we need to fill.
