I assume what was formally Aspers (Bally's now I think?) will be serving as early as you like. I know before the away leg they were serving pints at 7.30am
-
Yep. And while corporate and ballot no doubt both have had some impact on our away ends. I will die on the hill that the biggest reason they have nosedived is the fact that tickets no longer get in the hands of daft lads on busses, and instead are legitimately purchased by ordinary season ticket holders that never really bothered with away games until the last few years. The same folk that sit on their hands in silence for 90 minutes at home games

Meek silence from about 15 minutes in We must have the oldest average attendance in the league by a long shot

Our away end was an utter disgrace today

Aspers (or whatever it's called now) will be serving early doors

Very strong rumours it's a bubble trip, which would be a horrific fold from the club if so.

Can't make Leverkusen but after another ticket for PSG for the missus. Happy to transfer my Leverkusen ticket out if someone can help (using the official process)

To top things off, hearing from multiple people with connections to Northumbria's finest, that our away fixture in December will be a bubble trip. With all supporters forced to collect their ticket on the bus. Despite the club specifically assuring us it was a one time thing in the cup due to the size of the allocation. Disgrace if true and seriously hoping it's bollocks.

Aye half the lads I was stood with just piled in together instead of going to their allocated seat

I went into the final with virtually no expectation for atmosphere. Can't describe how gutted I was about the previous cup final. I had been conditioned to expect defeat on the pitch, but couldn't believe the silence that came from our end for the majority of the game. After the recent away games at man city/Liverpool too, which were without doubt the worst away support I've seen from us in my lifetime, I was fearing the worst. But wow, I couldn't have been more wrong. Our fans did us proud on Sunday. Everyone standing no doubt made a huge difference. Our whole lower tier was stood (as they mainly were last time tbf), but this time round the whole upper tier was stood too, with the exception of maybe a few hundred at the very front of the blocks close to the halfway line on each side. Hell there were even a fair few in the prawn sarnie seats in the middle tier (club wembley??) stood making a racket all game! There was plenty of noise coming from our end, and even when songs died down it was just a constant roar getting behind the lads. Acoustics are horrific at Wembley, and there were plenty of times I could see the whole upper tier arms aloft singing their hearts out and couldn't hear them, and equally the songs getting started in the safe standing section seemed to die in the lower tier too. Our songbook and tempo probably did us no favours here!! "Sing your hearts out for the lads" and "LalaLaLa Geordies" was deafening. After the game was class too with coming home Newcastle and then Sam fender getting belted out by everyone.
