  1. I know...read the original post. I was saying we've had good managers and Howe sits at the head of the table because of the cup win.
  2. I hear you, but I was including him for the buzz and belief he brought to the fanbase. A leader.
  3. Will always love Eddie for getting us silverware...but it's small club mentality to hold on to a manager when it's clearly long-gone stagnant. And it has. Be honest with yourselves. We've had epic managers, lost them, and got others. Eddie has written himself into NUFC history. He rightfully sits at the head of the table, with Keegan, Robson, Rafa. But he's ran out of ideas, or surprises. No one person is bigger than the club. I honestly don't see how another Summer transfer period under him fixes anything. Happy to be proven wrong, of course.
  4. All the talk (all season) about not having enough training time. Well that was dogshit.

    England

I genuinely don't know what keeps Lee Dixon being picked for TV. Such a depressive fuck.
  6. I think this is genuinely solid evidence that PIF have not "given up" on the project. I hate the modern bookkeeping side of being a football fan...but this is good news, IMHO.
  7. If he gets the credit for the cup win (right that he shares it), he has to take his share of the rotten games. He's not untouchable and it's insanity to keep blaming the players and recruitment...when it's the same pattern coming from him. Defeat at home in the derby, is fucking bullshit. He got owned by the opposition manager. Second half fall-off is all on his inability to adapt, in-game.
  8. I can't be denied...he cannot handle an opposition manager changing their tactics in the second half, after sussing us out in the first half. Time after time we fall to shit in the second half of games...and he has no answer. The biggest thing HE needs to work on. If he's the hero when we win, he's the villain when we lose. Simple.
  9. Defence just stood off and off and off. This has been pathetic.
  10. If we play like the first part of that game on Sunday...we'll be absolutely fine. First 45 was prime Newcastle.
  11. Got to love the emotion gatekeepers bitching the emotional supporters after a defeat Match threads are not for them You can imagine the neck veins
  12. All-in-all...a team saturated with elite footballers had a spell of utter flow. I don't think there was a major change, or anything particular. They're just riddled with the best of the best, and always capable of doing this. The lads just need to focus on the home game on Sunday. We've had an excellent campaign, considering who we are.
  13. Have to say, even though Trippier was stupid with the pen...we've not been anywhere near the force since he came off. May be bad coincidence. Poor lads.
  14. Ramsey, man That's not a mistake, that's mad. Have they put something in the halftime water? Night and day from the first half. At least it's Barcelona, and not a Burnley.
  15. I hope someone rams the video of Palmer stepping on our boy down his neck. Then the one of James throwing Thiaw to the floor up his arse.
  16. https://www.skysports.com/football/chelsea-vs-newcastle/report/531422 Vid lower down the page. That's so creepy and awkward
  17. Just seen IT IS real! It was just before kick-off. I must have missed it...but it looks like a photoshop gag.
  18. Wait a minute...am I being whooshed here? Is that ref huddle pic NOT a humorous photoshop jobbie?

    Malick Thiaw

This is not a reply to anyone in particular. But why do some always have the urge to be negative? Nobody else is...so why try and change the mood? Is it just as an excuse to have a go at people? Every time something good happens...there's always a group/mentality who want to have a go at other supporters. The irony of these constant downers calling out past negativity. "What a great performance, but URRGGH, remember when someone moaned?"

    Malick Thiaw

Aye, he's so young and had a cracking first season in a new country and new league.
  21. An in-form Gordon is an absolute gem. Shame his shot, from outside the box, didn't go in. He deserved a second.

    Joe Willock

He was massive for us, today. AND...I swear I saw him laughing and joking during the game
