Guest The Libertine
it'll be great if we win. we'll be "big sams black and white army" again, like the past few games havent happened. Wrong, if we win it'll be the fluke of the season and will make no difference. yeah, if we win, sack him anyway.

Wrong, if we win it'll be the fluke of the season and will make no difference. yeah, if we win, sack him anyway. What signs has Sam shown you to warrant you thinking we'll be sucessful under him? He's signed some decent players with very little money, we've had our best start to the premiership in 11 year, we only have 1 long term injury at the moment, he has brought in a lot of back room staff, he is up to date with all of the newest training methods, he's the first to tackle our biggest problem - defence, he's got an idea of what tactics our team should use in his head - and he's forcefully getting our team to play properly in it, his man management is good. The only problem I have actually seen with him is that his tactics seem strange to us, none of us understand what he's trying to do. I just want to give the fella some time, you're all expecting way too much, way too quickly.

JH
we've had our best start to the premiership in 11 year Btw, we're actually long past this now. Our best start now since 2003. ooo, he's better than Souness and Roeder. it'll be great if we win. we'll be "big sams black and white army" again, like the past few games havent happened. We're a different team to Bolton, we've got different players, a different set-up, a different fanbase, a different status. This is where Allardyce is going wrong. He should stop trying to turn us into Bolton because it won't work. We're two completely different teams. Where they finished is completely irrelevant. What matters is Allardyce and now. But everything at the moment suggests he isn't looking to change, he wants to adopt his Bolton-style of playing which won't work. We could play that way forever and he wouldn't get success. You only deserve the time if you show signs that success will eventually come to the club. In his six months here, everything he has done has pointed towards "failure". Therefore he doesn't deserve the time.

We are still shite at the back and conceding goals against teams that cant score goals against any other teams, our midfield has no flair, passing cohesion and drive and the front line offer no threat or pressure to the opposing defence. If we were keeping clean sheet after clean sheet then at least we could say "thank fuck. at least he has got the defence working". We've got nowt to cling to

Not as high as NUFC under Roeder the other year. On topic I've seen us go to Chelsea with half decent sides and lose 4 or 5 nil. Saturday will be a debacle. I was there then - I think there's a tendency recently for teams to slacken off and save themselves (see Man U today) which will probably save us. We had a nice guy out of his depth with a horrendous injury list and no transfer backing. They had a "top man in his field" with a settled squad who finished the season even worse than us.
