Guest Novocastrian
Viduka in a coma and on a life support is more likely to finish a move off with the corner of his bed than Smith is with 8 legs. mackems.gif God thats hilarious. Was I the only one to notice that Beye was almost instantly surrounded by Blackburn players. Where were the Toon players backing up a team-mate? Nowhere to be seen. So much for team spirit. What are you on about mate? Thats such a terribly thought out comment. Milner and Tayls were there trying to pull him out. Our lads know better to get involved in a scuffle... Have you ever played football? I'm not asking anyone to get sent off, just to get in between some of the protagonists and diffuse the situation. The fact only Milner and Taylor could be seen tells its own story.
Guest Emmet
Defence was shocking for their goal, what was Enrique doing!? Absolutely piss poor attempt at defending. Simple fact is thou it wouldnt have mattered had we taken our chances, Owen should have scored at least one. Martins needs to start next game

Guest Erich von Manstein
Enrique was as weak as piss for the goal. Did exactly what you shouldn't do in that situation when you're playing as the defensive cover from an attacking set piece on your own, let him keep running, let him turn inside. What the fuck are you on about? He was the only defender back and it was two against one, he didn't let him turn inside or outside as he was done by Bentley's ball for Derbyshire. Guest The Corner
Reading back through the match thread, some of you need to hang your head in shame. We played well and were unlucky. End of story. There was NO ONE to blame for the defeat today. Totally Agree
Liam Liam Liam O
Love how 2 on 1 it's Enrique's fault. Bloody foreigners. The way to play that situation is totally the opposite of what he did though. Its basic, he was heading away from goal, so he gave him the opportunity to play it inside instead of positioning himself to cut out that ball. He also attempted to run with him instead of slowing him down. To be honest, attempting to wipe him out might have been a better option than the one he chose. If he'd done that and they'd scored, fine, but he got it completely wrong. And its nothing to do with him being foreign. EDIT: The rest of them want fucking shooting as well mind

He was always going to play that ball to Derbyshire, not even Superman was going to stop him. Some people must just look for excuses, because I can't see how he did alot wrong there. He's in a lose-lose situation.

Guest Emmet
Am not exclusively blaming Enrique for the goal, not by a long shot.. but his attempt at "defending" was laughable. It was tired and sorry looking and smacked of lack of effort. What the fuck do we have to do to get a win these days though? Oh i know, take our fukin chances! Micheal Owen should be flogged first thing monday morning at training

Still doesnt mean hes to blame, even with them on the pitch we were the better team and got robbed. Despite that we deserve fuck all after the mass exodus as the ball crossed the line, most people had left before the restart. Shambolic

Looks totally incapable of keeping possession whenever he gets it.

I'd agree but according to Liam O he made two good passes today so he's much better than Nicky Butt.
