How long does Keegan get...

Recommended Posts

I forgot that there were only 3 players available in January.

Happy we left the squad as it was then?

Do you know that we only tried for 3?

I'm not happy that we left the squad as it was but I'm not going to blame anybody at the club because Woodgate signed for Spurs or that Derby didn't take the money on offer.

The timing of Allardyce getting sacked was poor and I'll blame them for that.

Barnes will probably go for what we offered for him in the summer as well and probably wouldnt have made that much diference in the last 12 games either.

Not with a f***** knee he wouldn't. ;)

He has a few long term knock now, he may fall into the damaged goods category now.

So you do speculate then? ;)

Allardyce was unlucky to lose 2-1 to Chelsea. Keegan has seen his team humilated by both Man United and Arsenal.

Both as bad if you ask me. An appointment unfortunately not based on footballing reasons, and it'll see us very close to going down (although I now think we're not in a losing habit, and won't turn it around).

Jesus wept, I'm not speculating who we did or did not try to bring in during the transfer window.

Keegan hasn't seen his team lose against anybody yet, he's seen an Allardyce team lose.

If Keegan chose not to buy players in January, it's ultimately his fault if we go down.

If of course he wasn't allowed to buy players, then the board have failed this club, and Keegan cannot be blamed.

  He didn't chose not to buy and wasn't stopped from buying, Woodgate.

that isn't what he is saying and its completely predictable that you wouldn't have anything said against the board and owner

Roll your eyes as much as you want, but that doesn't hide the fact that even the blind could see that this current crop of players isn't good enough, and we'd be fighting against relegation. Someone at the club HAS to be blamed for not stopping this situation before it started.

Woodgate wouldn't have changed the fact that our midfield is probably the worst in this league.

spot on and even the blind should be able to see it, its just that they don't want to see it

We did try to bring players in, we couldn't do much more than that apart from have offered more to Derby for a player who probably wouldn't have made any difference.

go easy on him, he's not the only one

Keegan had money to spend.  Fact.

Should have given Diarra what he wanted tbh.

Definitely agree with that, said so before.

So you advocate paying players what's required to get them, or running the club like a corner shop business ?

Just to be clear on this point

Edit. In fact throw this open to the others who also insist we were simply helpless and only 3 players were available in January

obviously not enough to tempt micky mouse clubs like Blackburn to sell, just like the days pre-1992, and try to preserve our premiership status

Stupid bastards should have paid a club record for an injury prone forward who becomes our best paid spectator, both during his injuries and after.  We could have also gone up to Scotland to see if Rangers had any free transfers they'd like to let go for £8 million a few short months later.  We could even have spent £9 million on a Spanish winger only to have the manager come out later and say that he'd thought we'd got him for something like £1.5 million.

No we wouldn't do that again, we've already done it and that's part of the reason we're now struggling to win games.

Did we go for anyone at Blackburn like? Serious question. And I'm guessing you mean Bentley.

I don't know, just quoting an example. I would have done personally, and if we do go down, we will ALL look back at January in particular as the point where even the blindest fool should have seen that last summer was a disastrous transfer period - even though the chairman said it was "good business" [the stupid tosser] - as being the opportunity to show someone had recognised the mistakes and do something about it.

Now its too late.

Personally, my heart tells me we will win against Fulham and Reading and survive by the skin of our teeth but its my heart and not my head.

We could also have bought Diarra and Defoe, but use the best example you can to show that the club is doing better than it did under the last board.

Can I say it again?

It's a good job some of you lot didn't support NUFC when Keegan came the first time or all of this might not have happened.

NE5 - Drivel.

you're happy with the squad too then ?

Is that another example?

Stop asking questions Mick, you never get answers.

so, you also think that we shoud accept we can't buy the best players from small clubs like Blackburn ?

thickmick likes the board pre-1992, he should do too, because they ran the club just like he thinks it should be run.
