Why the fuck are we now apparently just recruiting anyone who once played for chelsea?

I agree. Just what fucking qualification does this Italian U-21 coach have ffs?

maybe we should appoint steve wigley then, he's an under 21 coach too, only he has more of a track record in coaching and has actually managed before.

How come you're putting Steve Wigley forward when he obviously cares less for the club than Lee Clark, who is also a qualified coach and one who understands this club inside out?

Ashley's main criteria for next manager: Must have been successful in London in the past.

Guy Fawkes has ruled himself out.

He'd be an explosive appointment tbh.

Too much at stake.

He'd no doubt burn himself out eventually with all the stress.

too far?  ???

Would be just more evidence that the club arent actually out there looking for the right man possible.

Just looking for jobs for their mates again.

On the plus side, he might be able to get Diego Marandona as part of the back room staff to help make us even more popular with the rest of the football supporting nation

where is this coming from?  wise was mates with ashley i presume before he bought the club?  and what about jiminez/veterre?  and llamblias?  are they all "mates" or do ashley think they have something to offer in the business world?

chris mort was a trusted advisor and did a fucking good job imo...

look at it the other way, should ashley just appoint people he knows nothing whatsoever about to run his multi-million pound business?

Well, it's still not as bad as sacking Keegan, is it?

He should be looking to employ people with a proven record of success in the roles they are being employed.

Chris Mort did do a very good job. Pity it was only temporary and he was allowed to leave.

I am interested to see what Jimenez has on his CV that proves he is a proven Player Recruitment Executive.

If this can be shown to me I shall apologise and accept that I am wrong.

ain't saying you're wrong rob, just asking - does anyone know how matey ashley is with all of the appointments?  from what i remember weren't some of them recommends from kelmsley, who is his mate?

they might all be his bestest pals for all i know but as i've said it appears to me the recruitment team, now that we know their budgetary constraints, have a done a fucking sterling job really so i don't get the mates thing being a negative there, if it's even true

He sold Milner for £12m when Keegan himself only valued him at £7-8m. He must have earned his salary with that one deal alone.

I know mate and I would agree. Looking at the signings etc, they do appear to have done a decent job.

Their communications skills are obviously woeful and if not improved upon are just going to cause problems in the future.

It all just comes across a bit cliquey (sp) though with Keegan the only non-member of their little gang. Going for Zola, an ex team mate of Wise, would just appear to be them adding to their clique.

PR specialist coming in might do them wonders mind...but then again everyone was quite happy that the papers knew nothing about the club this summer, can't have it both ways i guess ;)

Jiminez worked for Real Madrid, and unearthed Jonas, proof enough.

Vetere worked for Real Madrid

Whichever of them did that fine. Thats the kind of experience and knowledge we are looking for.

maybe we can give Vetere the job of chief scout and do away with the rest, then.
