Disco
Why would they stay in a hotel for a game 12 miles away? They stayed in London for the Stevenage match which is about 35 miles away Always stay in a hotel before away games I'd imagine. Routine n all that. Many teams do before home games n all. ponsaelius
work in hotel newcastle players are stayin in tonight. word is he's definitely been sold! May aswell pander to this. 'Word' as in what? From the players, from some random in the hotel? Specifics would atleast be nice so we can clarify just how likely this is to be complete bullshit. QBG
Fully believe he'll go in summer. We'd be mental to let him go in January. £30m in the summer I'd probably take to be fair.
Cajun
Why don't they stay in a hotel before home games if they are staying in Jesmond anyway? Couldn't they just stay at Nolan's?
Disco
Thing is with Spurs, they need a striker now and the only big name that will move (Dzeko) already has whereas in the summer they'll have a far wider pool of players to choose from one would imagine so AC9 would be potentially worth more now than he would be in the summer providing there are no other suitors. Nah, there is lasses taking up the space in the rooms downstairs practising their dyson impressions with their noses.
ponsaelius
Would probably benefit us more if he had a weaker second half of the season.
Cajun
I can just imagine the players walking around a hotel telling all and sundry about certain players being sold. I am sure there are no manager/backroom staff in the hotel either

Cajun
The media creates bullshit, fans perpetuate bullshit. I do no believe for one second the players are telling hotel staff that Carroll has been sold.
Guest neesy111
He shouldn't be sold unless it's above 40M for a number of reasons. 1) There is a total lack of decent strikers out there currently, hence why teams like Spurs are struggling to find one. 2) We should be stating a matter of intent that we want to build a team around Carroll. 3) If Carroll is sold it could be the final straw for a few fans as to me he's given NUFC fans hope this season and it's great to have a proper number 9 again after Martins failed to do much at the club. I'm sure we heard something a few weeks back as well, also those twats on NUFC.com were even fuelling the fire.
Cajun
We hear something every week "Oww Newcastle have a decent player, he MUST be on the verge of a transfer ". We had it every window with Owen too, unfortunately he wasn't taken off our hands. It's just very frustrating, I hate living with the next disappointment at the forefront of our minds. Living with a constant expectation of disappointment is a fucking depressing way to go on.
