How is Shearer now worse than all our strikers overall? Has not trained as a professional in forever, is not in any shape to play 45 minutes let alone 90, has not played with any of the current first team bar Butt, Harper, Staylor and Duff. How is Shearer now worse than Owen? Much slower, just as injury prone. even more reliant on our current non existant service. How is Shearer now worse than Martins? If you need this answered just jump off a bridge, honestly. I'm not even bothering. How is Shearer now worse than Ameobi? Uh okay, you might have a point on this one. How is Shearer now worse than McLoven? See Martins How is Shearer now worse than Smith? Pretty much the only thing Smith has on him right now is fitness. ikri Posted March 26, 2009 Share Posted March 26, 2009 it's giving me a flashback of kenny's 'dad's army' with rushie, barnes and stuart pearce. that said though they did chip in with some important goals All four of them (Kenny included) would probably be considered for a place in the side the way we're currently playing. Barnes couldn't do any less work on the pitch than Duff, Dalglish & Rush would do a better job up front than Owen & Ameobi, Pearce would get a game at centre half thanks to the injuries to Taylor & Bassong. He'd be a class coach though, could teach our strikers a whole load, then midfielders how to cross, how to be a good captain...movement off the ball etc. Even clearing the ball from set pieces, he did it all.
