Guest BooBoo
Nice to meet you btw. Yeah likewise. Hope you chaps had a good day, other than the result. Same old Newcastle really, got everyone excited and then turn in a crock of crap performance.
Frazzle
The atmosphere is s**** every f***ing week bar the Leazes corner. Yup, even the Leazes corner gave up a bit near the end. I can't understand how the people next to the Leazes corner can't pick up on the song, then the people next to them etc. etc.

I can't understand how the people next to the Leazes corner can't pick up on the song, then the people next to them etc. etc. People are just fed up with getting beat! Honestly, if we were winning games and playing well the atmosphere would improve ten fold. It's not rocket science.

Pilko
Damp squib. It was almost like being shown a photo of a porn star with an address written on the back, turning up at her house with a pack of Durex easy-on and then finding a 55-year old walrus woman lying on the bed presenting her fleshy purse. Almost.

Thespence
Alan Shhhhearer Shaun Custis told the Sunday Supplement he believes Alan Shearer could have done more to rally the support of the Newcastle fans ahead of their defeat to Chelsea. The arrival of the Magpies' hero was greeted by jubilant scenes outside of St James' Park earlier in the week but Custis believes the former England captain's refusal to seek the limelight on Saturday was a bad move ahead of the 2-0 loss. "The fans were waiting to acclaim Shearer," said The Sun journalist. "They were waiting for him to come out onto the pitch, wave to everybody and give the place a lift just before kick-off. "Instead, if it wasn't for the battery of photographers you would have missed him. "I know Shearer is saying he wants it to be about the players and I think that's right, but yesterday, just to give it the initial lift, he could have come onto the pitch and waved. The game almost kicked off without anyone noticing him." I tend to agree with that. http://www.skysports.com/tv_show/story/0,20144,12382_5148735,00.html

He's focusing on the team and we must too. He's our manager, not our number 9, he's had the adulation as a player which is where you need it, as a manager he doesn't need it. Those players do though. It is up to them to get us onside however as much as it is down to us to get them going.
Thespence
He needs to accept who he is & use it positivity. He knows what gets SJP pumped & unfortunately he can no longer drop into midfield & clobber someone, so a wave, a clenched fist.................if we win a game maybe even a Sir Alex esq strut on the pitch. pedro111
What pisses me off is how they play the start of local hero then cut it off in the middle for that god awful premier league tune and then they cut back to local hero. Total bollocks. Just play local hero ffs.

Guest fading star
The atmosphere is s**** every f***ing week bar the Leazes corner. To be fair the Leazes Corner has been a bit of a flop. The old informal gathering in L7 made more noise. The singing section is part of the problem. The rest of the ground has been stripped of it’s ‘cheerleaders’. There used be little pockets of people all around the ground who’d help chants spread. Now they’re so few and far between it’s becoming a waste of time even trying. The atmosphere yesterday was really poor.

The atmosphere yesterday was really poor. No way. I've had a season ticket in both areas and there's no comparison between the 2. There's atleast double the numbers this season, it's miles ahead of the section we had in the Leazes for the last few years. I think the main problem is the Milburn/Leazes/East stands reluctance to join in with a song.
Guest toonlass
I saw a lion dressed in a Newcastle shirt dancing around at the bottom of the Strawberry Corner steps yesterday, and then a bloke with an elephant hat on standing across the road from the box office corner. And I agree with Pav, the singing corner is a lot louder than the old Leazes level 7 before everyone got moved.
