SJP today... it's all a bit surreal

Think it was because we were expecting a defeat the atmosphere was abit flat although LC first half was loud again tbh.

However if the dis-allowed goal was allowed, then I'm sure the atmosphere would of been electric as we would of been back in the game.

But it should be electric for our next home games, as they well and truely are must wins.

I thought the atmosphere for KK's return against Bolton was shite as well, it was better in the Stoke game when he was only sitting in the directors box.

The atmosphere is s**** every f***ing week bar the Leazes corner.

To be fair the Leazes Corner has been a bit of a flop. The old informal gathering in L7 made more noise.

The singing section is part of the problem. The rest of the ground has been stripped of it’s ‘cheerleaders’. There used be little pockets of people all around the ground who’d help chants spread. Now they’re so few and far between it’s becoming a waste of time even trying.

The atmosphere yesterday was really poor.

Don't be silly. The reson the atmosphere is cack these days is because nobody outside the Leazes Corner will sing. The Leazes Corner has been far better the the couple of blocks in the Leazes L7 last year. I thought the LC was pretty good yesterday until Chlesea scored, then the atmosphere went a bit flat but other than that it was loud.

The media spent 2 days hyping up the atmosphere and as a result I think some people just turned up for the "experience".  It was always going to be an anti-climax.

Stoke was better because it was spontaneous and happened within a few hours of the announcement.

I'm all for the Leazes Corner and all that, but when the Gallowgate have got a song going, the Leazes Corner just f*** it up by singing it way too fast

Tbh, all our fans sing the sings way too fast.

Some you can sleep easy now as I worked out what tune it was: U2 Lyrics - Pride (In The Name Of Love)

One man come in the name of love

One man come and go

One come he to justify

One man to overthrow

In the name of love

What more in the name of love

In the name of love

What more in the name of love

One man caught on a barbed wire fence

One man he resist

One man washed on an empty beach.

One man betrayed with a kiss

In the name of love

What more in the name of love

In the name of love

What more in the name of love

(nobody like you...)

Early morning, April 4

Shot rings out in the Memphis sky

Free at last, they took your life

They could not take your pride

In the name of love

What more in the name of love

In the name of love

What more in the name of love

In the name of love

What more in the name of love...

Top tune to play just before the match.

The problem is that sound takes time to travel, so if you've got two groups of people singing at opposite ends of the ground and trying to keep time with each other by ear they're always going to end up out of sync.
