Yorkie
On The Ball and Vindaloo are just right cos neither artists took it seriously whatsoever, which is what it's meant to be about. You can't sing a song about football and it not be utterly ridiculous. Embrace's was just, urgh, Christ - awful. Took it dead seriously and it ended up not being about football. All WC songs are shit, but atleast they're about footy. Embrace's was shit and not about footy. I agree we should do Lightning Seeds every time. JH
It's just the stupid reason they gave. As if not having an official song will help the team on the pitch and not distract them all

FA Chairman/Representative: "Right Lads, this World Cup you lot are ALL GOING TO KNOW THE WORDS TO GOD SAVE THE QUEEN! Humming will no longer be permitted!! So let's start with the first verse..." OzzieMandias
Was World in Motion an official song?, if so I take back my earlier comment cause that is and will always be the best England song. Aye, that one was official. Only decent one ever, IMO.
