A large group of danish football fans is close to buying the club.

The idea is basically the same as in Barcelona and Real Madrid where the members elect a director.

Should be interesting as they apparantly have some Danish/Russian fond backing them financially as well as an not yet named english bookmaker.

What business do have Danish fans owning an English club?  ???

Dunno, a danish sports site brought the news that Chester was for sale for £1. A reader got the idea to buy the club and the interest has been massive.

They have been invited to Chester this weekend to negotiate...

They will probably need to raise enough to cover the club's debts, I presume.

Exactly, and further more they have to make a Ltd company in England as well.

I'm considering buying a couple of shares, I just have my doubt that there will be any future in it, since Chester are going down to Conference North next season.

They will probably be relegated to the Northern Premier League depending on how things go with the conference board. Chester have broken several conference rules and could be refused permission to enter the competition next season. They have done it before and I would expect them to do it again.

What right does an Arab have in owning Man City ?

Do you think the Chester fans care, let alone Man City's ?

I don't see the point in buying Chester whatsoever.

They've drifted into non-league wilderness and nearly everybody that lives there supports Everton or Liverpool and to a lesser extent, the Manc clubs. A lot of the few fans they did have were driven away by Vaughan, all the financial problems, relegation etc

Just had a quick scroll though and to buy 10 shares it works out at just over 11k.  e

Each share holder can only hold 10 shares from what ive read, CCFC owe about 220k to various debts.
