Colocho
Sow is not going to be an easy player to sign. Lille are top of the league, and I would say nailed on to qualify for Champions League football next season. I would be very, very surprised if they let him go. El-Arabi is a far more realistic option, and out of Sow, Gameiro and Gervinho, he is the player I would concentrate on signing. Why? Caen are in the Ligue 1 relegation zone and out of the beforementioned he would command the lowest transfer fee, and wages. Saying that, if Lille are to sell Sow, I'd expect them to replace him with El-Arabi.
tomlkier
15M is alot of money, what if it turns out that he's a one season wonder (not that i think so) He is also playing with arguably the best midfield (except Lyon) in Ligue 1 behind him. Was about to make that point, I would much prefer Gameiro or El Arabi to Sow, based on the amount of goals they've got for weaker teams.
Colocho
Gameiro has said he wants to move to Spain, preferably a club like Villareal. To those of you suggesting Sow may be a 'one season wonder' have you seen him play?
Guest Roger Kint
Would seriously question why we would pay huge money(well it is for us) on someone who could miss 2 months of the next two seasons with the ACN, especially given the points made by colocho and tomlker
BottledDog
If we had those four strikers I think most fans would be over the moon so you can bet it won't happen. MA make us happy.. its just not in his nature. Well, to say that I haven't loved the characters that make up our team so much since at least Robson's time in charge isn't to much of a stretch. That makes me pretty happy.

Ikon
Colocho, true. Even IF we could attract him he would probably demand pretty high wages as well. El Arabi is a good shout, and a lot more likely. Personally i would rather go for Caicedo and Rondon instead of paying 15m for one striker, or one of them plus Arabi.

Shayno
This is only Sow's first season at Lille, hard to see them getting rid of him when they are likely to play in the champions league and they are already likely to lose Gervinho. Good player though

I know he was close to a move to Villareal in January, but they didn't meet the valuation.

Only ever seen highlights of French matches so seen very little other than what has been said on here, for some reason i assumed he had chosen France over wherever he came from. Lush Vlad
If Pardew wants to play a lone striker with HBA supporting, surely we won't be signing Gameiro?

I know he was close to a move to Villareal in January, but they didn't meet the valuation. I was told by a friend in Madrid that there was a story in Marca about a week ago suggesting he wants to join Villareal, and his agent has already spoken to the club. Good player though if they are offered enough and the player wants out it's hard to see him staying. given the choice of champs league with lille or a crack at the prem, spanish or german leagues he'd probably forego the champs league. Lush Vlad
If Pardew wants to play a lone striker with HBA supporting, surely we won't be signing Gameiro? why ? Because we play plenty of long balls direct passes and Gamerio is hardly the tallest or biggest built is he? I'm not a french football expert, in fact I've rarely seen it since Setanta went bust, but I've seen KG on youtube and he hardly looks like he'd fit into the lone striker role for us.
