ChezGiven Posted April 19, 2010 Share Posted April 19, 2010 Is it just me, or does Danny Simpson backing off a player fill you with panic? At first, I thought we'd found a decent player, but his performances have been declining all season. He looks frightened when the ball goes anywhere near him, in attack and defence. As for the game, we're poor, they're worse. Don't like being a negative Nelly when things have been going so swimmingly, but he has constantly stuck out as the weak link for a good while now. Hopefully we're in the market for a better RB in the summer. Simpson is the type of player who can look like a good footballer when you first see him, but after a prolonged period you realise there is no substance. To be fair, I have thought he was fairly gash since the first time I saw him. The fact he has been such an integral part of such a solid defence is interesting though and has kept me from being more vocal about his personal ability. Simpson is shit, championship player.
