Goal-line technology

They always do that (much like after Henry's handball). Say they'll consider it, think about it in the heat of the moment but then when things calm down say they're not interested.

Also, seeing as we might have lost to Germany anyway and certainly wouldn't have won the tournament... if Lampard's non goal is final straw that makes FIFA implement Hawkeye then it would have been totally worth it.

It takes 2 seconds to see an incident on a replay and make a judgement, it wouldn't effect the pacing of the game at all and there would be no more dubious decisions. Some decisions are tougher than others but with the Lampard phantom goal there shouldn't have been any doubt in any of the officials minds that it was well over the line.

Goal-line technology is back on the agenda after Fifa revealed this World Cup is set to be the last tournament under the existing refereeing system.

Fifa general secretary Jerome Valcke told the BBC that TV replays showing Frank Lampard scoring a goal against Germany was a "bad day" for organisers.

Really don't like the sound of that wording. Most likely means FIFA will remain in their cave and desperately try and come up with some bullshit way to still not use any technology.

Maybe have an extra referee standing next to each goalpost why not?!
