jdckelly
Did anyone read the Sunday Mirrors report on the game? Ludicrously pessimistic, it basically wrote off our chances of survival based on one practice match. just looked at it, feckin hell the guy needs shooting its a fucking preseason game with a rather mixed line up also with players out of position http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Norwich-2-1-Newcastle-United-Shola-Ameobi-scores-but-Toon-have-plenty-of-work-to-do-after-Chris-Martin-double-Sunday-Mirror-pre-season-match-report-article536913.html

Fenham Mag
United are one of only three top flight teams to be preparing without playing abroad. Has the Deportivo match been postponed like?

Dave
Presumably we were set for an assault on the Champions League spots last week.

JH
Been away this weekend, all I've seen/heard is the goal. Looked a decent move from Routledge, Xisco and Shola.
JH
Ranger was blatantly onside like. http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/7017/rangerr.jpg Just saw this from SSN. "Shola Ameobi thought he'd got his goal..."
MW
Tbh it was a very poor performance from us, Norwich deserved their win. Apart from the 2nd goal i thought Krul looked good, made a fantastic save down to his right in the first half and a double save in the 2nd half, the rebound was a fantastic save. Just read the review of the game on their site (http://www.canaries.co.uk/page/NewsDetails/0,,10355~2101165,00.html) and in the picture half way down it looks like the guy who is wanted in the background. Guest prestonj1989
Norwich fan? I think so as he came from the home section but there were quite a few NUFC shirts in the home section aswell. There was also some fat kid in a Sunderland shirt who was getting plenty of abuse.

Guest prestonj1989
Whats the atmosphere like in the away end for Pre Season then? Everyone standing like normal or is it more subdued? Pretty poor tbh. I was about half way up at Norwich and everyone was sitting down except for the back couple of rows.

Yeah, I guess it was. Got the impression that it was the first away game for many.
