The article seems to suggest he couldn't fly back into the UK. Otherwise why go to the Ivory Coast embassy in Ghana, when he could have gone to the one in London.

Yeah, not sure why everyone is blaming America on this one. The issue seems to be with the UK.

Sounds like it's either a passport issue (but then he could get that done at the Ivory Coast embassy in the USA) or some sort of work visa issue which requires him to go home and consult the embassy there.

I know with a lot of work visas you have to sort it out at the UK embassy in your home country..

Aye, well the article doesn't exactly paint a clear picture of what's happening.

That's because it was written by the club's PR team.

Completely unacceptable situation to put Tiote in.

No way should one of our best, most important players be in Accra training by himself whilst also trying to sort out the fucking mess he's got every right to expect his employers to sort for him. Can't imagine this happening at any other club - at least not one playing at the same level as we are. Fucking thick amateurs.

Probably just trying to piss him off so that when we accept a 20 mil bid off someone for him he is that annoyed with the club he won't think twice about leaving

Tiote will find the Loch Ness Monster, tell him to stop pissing about and say we stopped bothering about him ages ago the knob.
