Fraser Forster (Celtic) - Season-long loan GK

Joey Barton (QPR) - Free MIDFIELDER 28yo former England international(1 cap)

In terms of who has left, 3 first team players: Nolan, Enrique + Barton, along with our backup centreback. Routledge was never in the picture once Hughton left.

We've brought in Cabaye and Santon to replace Nolan and Enrique, while it could be argued that Marveaux has replaced Barton's position in the squad.

We've added Demba Ba, Obertan, a back-up keeper and a promising midfielder.

Has the sky fallen in yet?

EDIT: compare the quality coming in with the quality that has left.

Stu, I appreciate you trying to maintain a reasonable stance, but as has been said plenty of times by plenty of people it's more about what we didn't do than what we did do.

Of course it's not the end of the world, but it should have been so, so much better.

While I agree the players we have brought in all look to be quite exciting there's just no excuse to have trousered so much money in the process.

Nice use of figures on the Elliott transfer :pow:

Bought some good players but a thin squad is 5 players lighter. Poor, especially given the alleged resources available. We've signalled our intent for this season to me and not in a particularly good way.

Anyway, onwards and upwards, HOWAY THE LADS!
