Semi final has been scrapped as has the relegation issue

I would be devastated if my team got relegated, but not to bothered if my team didnt win a domestic cup.

Following on from the self-flagellation on their many attendance threads....apropos of nothing:

Match attendance: 20,731

RTG 'official' Match thread views: 61,208

:mike:

What?  Barely 20K attendance for a cup quarter final against one of the top clubs with 5 quid tickets and Chelsea bringing a load up too ??  :kasper:

Ahh bless them... there's always one little club gets to the latter stages of this cup and it seems that this is their year and they're getting themselves all in a tizzy about it.....bless.

Seems all is forgiven and being clear bottom at Christmas doesn't matter any more as they switch to discussing how the Wembley tickets will be distributed.

They're all dreamy at the moment so lets hope the forthcoming fixture congestion doesn't bring them down to earth with too much of a bump.

Has a cup run for a team in deep relegation trouble ever actually helped them? The media do seem to like to talk about how wins in the cup translate into league form but in recent seasons both Wigan and Birmingham have won trophies and then been relegated.

If they progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup too they're going to have a crippling amount of fixtures in a very short space of time. More harm than good etc.

Love how they are all talking about 'Wembley' and 'The Final' already.... despite the fact they potentially have to play one of Man City, Man Utd or Spurs over 2 legs yet.

:idiot2:

Lad on FB was under the impression wins for Man Utd/Spurs tonight guaranteed them European football. They are a special bunch

Am I right in thinking that unlike the FA Cup in the event of the winner qualifying for Europe via the league the Europa League place goes to the league?
