Guest
Chilavert after losing to France in 98 going round like a trooper picking his fallen comrades up who were in bits and in tears after I think Blanc (?) scoring the Golden Goal.
Guest
Managed to find it. Now that's a real captain.

Beren
Ronaldo's retribution in the 2002 final. Don't think I've ever been so ecstatic for any player.

henke
When Chris Waddle misses his penalty against ze Germans all the German players run from the halfway line to jump on their keeper. Bodo Ilgner, I think. All except Lothar Mathias who stops and puts his arm around Waddle, always struck me as a very decent thing to do given they weren't club mates or anything. Didn't watch that at time but it's something I always look out for after big games/pellas. Sets the truly 'classy' individuals apart IMO.
Flip
Best moments. http://imortaisdofutebol.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/cafu.jpeg http://www.mochileiro.tur.br/copa-1994%20dunga%20taca.jpg as well as Brazil - Turkey in the 2002 semi-final. Being there was immense and also being in Dortmund seeing Ronaldo become the greatest world cup scorer of all times. (well until Klose next year...) Novocastrian
Lot of modern games on here, no doubt reflecting the ages of forum members. Most recent World Cups have been pretty crap which is a shame but I still get genuinely excited before these tournaments. Best game bar none: France V West Germany 1982 Semi Final. That game had everything.
