Apparently Frenchies are saying our last offer(yesterday) was the highest we will go, whats the betting we switch to Siem and offer the same amount?

I guess they have turned it down then

It was probably still under £8m so dont know why they even bother to bid when they know what Monty wants

True but as they have no problems with lying to us and we know they arent interested in spending you would think they could just let it go rather than continue to embarrass themselves underbidding

Aren't Cabella and de Jong totally different types of players? Shows how scattergun and value based the transfer policy is if that's the case.

The only approach is can we make a profit in the future.

Too bad they can't find anymore release clauses

From what i have seen yeah but thats not NUFC's biggest issue when it comes down to it. The cheaper one will sign. Wouldnt mind Siem and Payet or similar though then its just a small matter of two strikers :hmm:

Bendtner & Gomis, problem soled

Lyon have rejected two clubs bids for that other striker by the looks of it. Maybe we have started underbidding on multiple fronts

Lacazette? Decent player, similar(ish) to Remy IIRC.

Is there a good 1st team player we are prepared to pay for?  (Apart from Colback)

Am sure theres loads around who are valued at £8m+ where the clubs will accept under £7m

Fat Sams insane transfers have really fucked up any chance of us taking a risk again, have we overpaid for anyone since?
