Hatem Ben Arfa (now retired?)

Recommended Posts

Btw. the reason he was picked by brucey for manu vs hull as starter, because he playing really well in previous game. If he was consistently lazy or less work rate in training or previous game for sure brucey won't picked him as starter. Brucey just finding excuses for his own team tactic failure. Ben Arfa did mistake against Valencia, then Brucey snapped, then that's the end.

Didn't help that Bruce was playing him centrally, where he's awful.

Clearly a sign that Carver is to remain in charge until the end of the season at least

Anyway... Such a f***ing waste of talent, what a f*** up of a career from a clearly f***ed up individual. Mind, for almost all of the 5th season f***ing Taylor and Obertan were in front of him and when he does get on and shines he soon gets dropped for not enough tracking back.

Damaged goods when he arrived, Pardew smashed him into a million pieces with the shit man management.

Could have been different but we all had a good idea it would end this way so no big suprise really.

OptaJean: 120 - Hatem Ben Arfa has started 120 league games since 2004/05, that's an average of 10.9 per season. Restart.

That's even worse than Stevie 'Bantz' Taylor.

Class talent when he could be arsed but far too often let himself down by acting the dick. Every club he's gone to he's caused aggro and had to leave under a bit of a cloud. Hope he finds the form of a couple of years ago but he's got to sort his swede out.

I wish people could actually give detailed specifics about what HBA ever did wrong rather than relying on vague generalisations about his behaviour. No-one seems to be able to give any though.

Agreed. It's fucking laughable that people buy into this shite. Shows you how many 'followers' there are amongst the support, who just believe what they're spoon-fed by proven liars. Such a waste of a brilliant player and totally gutted to see someone of his quality leave.

Maybe if those who think he's great (based on very little evidence) could point out to us "sheep" instances where he has been consistently brilliant game after game (for any club) maybe, just maybe, we'd understand the love he gets.

His brilliance is a myth, his talent is there for all to see, but his use/application of that talent is beyond a disgrace and as such he's worthless.

Surely Real, Barca and Bayern are pestering his agent to death right now because reading some of the tripe in this thread they mustn't know what they're doing otherwise.

His stats already show he is our most productive midfielder. What more evidence do you need? Show me a player we've had in the last 5 years who was consistently excellent game after game? Even Cabaye wasn't.

He's a fantastic talent, but clearly not right in the head, and that's why he's joining fucking Nice from fucking Hull just as he's about to enter what should be the prime of his career.

Such a shame and what a massive waste of talent.

Good luck with that.

It's been done to death on here in every way. Examples of him playing well and being dropped, stats showing he's a 1 in 3.5 goal scorer and 1 in 4 assister, stats in comparison to our other players, examples of players he's been dropped in favour of etc etc etc and yet still people like you either/or A. Ignore it. B. Dismiss it or C. Come out with the sort of utter nonsense that's in your final paragraph there. In fact all of it is generalised, unsubstantiated, fabricated, weapons grade horseshit tbh.
